FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

Morgan Rodgers to Chelsea for £117million. Good player but seems hugely overpriced at that.

The market has been inflated by some of the deals that are happening.

It means that if United managed to sell Rashford and go for Summerville, any chance of getting what they deem fair value has gone out the window.

Summerville doesn’t have the English tax though. Morgan Roger’s put together 13 goals and 11 assists last year in the premier league and Europa League. Summerville put together 5 and 2 as a career high in the premier league.

It seems by the time they get Rashford off the books if at all Summerville will have found his way to Roma already.

Rogers is good, young and english. Seems about right as far as the market is concerned.

Villa being ripped apart though. Big job for Emery. Massive profit on Rogers though. Bought for 17 sold for 117. I think Boro gets 20% of that but even so, they'll have the funds for a rebuild if they can be shrewd about it.

Will be interesting to see how Chelsea lines up under Alonso.

Being English adds 30 or 40 million to a valuation anyway. That homegrown tax is massive.

Look he is prem proven and has performed in the champions and Europa league as well. Whilst the English tax is well and truely real I think that there is at least 2-3 seasons of basis to his 117 million as opposed to a lot of other players getting flogged off for those sums. At 23 as an attacking midfielder/winger I lowkey rate it. I think for what the market is dishing up that’s a pretty safe 117 million to spend imo.

Looks like he's going to Roma.

Bullet dodged because Rashford is a far better player imo.

Yeah when he wants be. I guess the question is will he be better this time around or will he continue to have a shit mindset. I guess we’ll find out because I doubt he gets sold.

He only wants a big club and none are really in for him.

I wonder if Arsenal take a stab at him.

Arsenal could happen. They haven't got Rogers (or didn't end up trying), and the LW market isn't exactly brimming.

Its a spot they could use after Trossard leaving, and Martinelli being hit and miss. Not sure they'll wanna play Madueke/Eze there all the time.

I like Rashford, wouldn't be upset if he stayed and fought for his spot. The wages are shit, but honestly as above, just not sure there's much option in the LW market, and after signing 3 mids, who knows if they'd actually replace him.

Palmer to United rumours ramping up again.

Some pretty good sources online that are stating it's not a pipe dream and could actually happen.

I imagine Chelsea want to make a big sale after the Rogers signing with one of those being Palmer and Fernandez. Palmer has been reportedly looking for a move for the past year or so.

If we can land Palmer, that would be huge.

So after saying Enzo and Anderson were out of United's price range... you now think Palmer is possible?

Tzolis looks like a done deal for arsenal to replace trossard. Can't see many clubs taking on rashford unless he gets his massive salary subsidised
