ESL English Super League

shame London Broncos didn't get a super league spot with the latest expansion, with Lockyer involved it probably would have allowed us to give game time at a higher level for Mozer and Black on loan.
 
Surprised there is no chat in here considering we play one of them and all the games were very tight and good to watch.

Yes its not nrl, but its very fun to watch sometimes. Atmosphere looks amazing at 99% of the games too. The Wakefield vs Toulouse game was unbelievably fun to watch.

How the hell no nrl club had snapped up ipape is insane. He's a perfect 14 in the nrl. Surely him and lauchlan lam are going to the png nrl team. There were a couple fullbacks that impressed me too. I think English players need to be really careful with the team and system they go to though, especially outside backs and edge forwards as the edge defence is the biggest difference in the competitions.
 
The Warrington fullback kid is super exciting. He's a runner but boy is he quick. Will be interesting to see what he becomes.
 
I know its Championship but how did the ESL think it was not a good idea to promote the London Broncos?

Number 1, its a London team and number 2, they are not under legit management like Leigh were a couple of years ago when they came good.

I'm watching the Broncos v North Wales in the background while working and its 58-6...at half time.

They came 10th in the championship last year....

The competition needs some integrity. York, Toulouse and Bradford rightfully went up and Salford rightfully went down. Doesn't matter if Darren Lockyer bought the team, they still need to earn promotion. That's like saying Scunthorpe United should be fast tracked to the premier league because the crown prince of Egypt bought them.
 
I'm just throwing this out there. I don't think the Titans will be losing any sleep about losing Weaver. He's been awful in England.

On the other hand, Sivo is still amazing.
 
Just seen an interview of Andrew abdo with Brian Carney. Very impressive interviewer (the buying of the comp is wild ambitious and another story).

Off topic a little but....

Brian Carney, shaun Johnson, boom rookies... good rugby league media IS out there. Rugby league outsiders aren't bad as well from the poms but they are biased haha. Broncos bulletin, some of league of inches (the storm fan is a bit undmbearable). Im dissapointed in Kemp big time lately, complete sell out, and mason and horo lost me backing CONEHEAD (given they built their whole media brand on NOT taking a backwards step/selling out/just say it how it is)
 
Castleford played Wigan...both were in what looked like bright yellow jerseys - I think someone should have got fired.
 


This was hilarious.

1. He kicks the ground and barely the ball
2. The Leigh player picks the ball up before it goes 10 metres
3. Catalans get a penalty
4. Sexton kicks for himself
5. Sexton scores a try

This all occurred in about a minute haha
