I watched the Parramatta game last night, with Denan Kemp scoring 4 tries. Oh man, can't wait til footy season! just wish that uh Denan Kemp was still ours!

Awesome, awesome game. Easily my favourite of last year.

Kemp was pretty much my favourite Bronco of 07 and 08. Only pipped by Locky in 06. He's pretty much the one reason why I wasn't horribly sad about WB leaving... almost bittersweet that it was only Michaels' injury that saw him get a run last year. At least he had his chance to prove to everyone on BHQ that mick! wasn't completely insane in his rambling support of him!

Watched a highlights package the other day and some of the tries he scored were simply remarkable. Great acceleration and he squeezed through gaps that hardly anyone else would be able to get through. I'd forgotten how good he was in the few months since the season, some of the stuff was Slater-esque in its freakishness.

The try when he used his soccer skills to control the ball on his boot before kicking it ahead was amazing.

Brilliant!!!!!

Well put together video - I really enjoyed watching that. I missed some of those games while I was still overseas - was able to listen to games, but didn't see them - so it was awesome to see what a good start we had. We played some really good attacking footy last year.

It just reminds me how much we are going to miss Denan Kemp though [icon_thumbs_do [icon_frown

Great vids to watch.

The Kempahdinho try just showed pure intincts, he traps it, does a kick-feint then scores. Man I think he is going to be a massive massive loss. Imagine Michaels, Kemp on one side and Hodges, Falou on the other.

I'll put it out there, commentators go on about Billy Slater's "football speed" Kemp is as good if not better than Slater in that department and his footywork and agility is streets ahead. He might play Origin this year, pending a few injuries.

All players fit, the backline will be:

Hunt
Folau
Inglis
Hodges
Tate

with Slater on the bench after Hunt absorbs the tough stuff.

But if Tate or Hodges are out, expect Kemp on that wing ahead of Boyd IMO.

Yeah it would've been interesting if Steve Michaels hadn't got hurt. I suspect the Broncos may have had to make a decision whether to re-sign Michaels or Kemp. As it was, because Michaels was hurt, the Broncos did the magnanimous thing and said "it's ok Steve, we won't leave you out in the cold".

Don't get me wrong, I like Michaels as a player too. But in hindsight if it'd been a choice between the two, I would've said Denan.

Sometimes you say things so similar to what I think it scares me.

Lockyer made Kemp look good, hell Lockyer made Bott look good. Don't get me wrong, these outside backs can finish and they are definetly good players, but playing outside Lockyer is a dream. Hell, he put TC and Eastwood into gaps on the fringes FFS!!!

I still don't like the fact that you compared BOTT AND KEMP!!

But really, is it a revelation to point out that wingers can't do squat if they don't have decent halves and centres to give them service? That's like saying a halfback can't do much behind a crap forward pack - it's logical. I still think Kemp is an above average winger, and IMO he will perform really well across the Tasman.
