Allan Langer vs Petero Civoniceva - It's much closer than you'd expect but Langer was the lynch pin for the Broncos during their most succesful seasons and I feel it'll be between him and Lockyer to take out the award. Bulla was a fantastic forward for the Broncos since about the year 2000 and doesn't get enough credit from the fans.

Steve Renouf vs Darren Lockyer - Lockyer is an absolute legend of the game who's lead the side around the park for at least 10 seasons. Renouf was a brilliant finisher and one of the Broncos best success stories but he's up against an absolute legend.

Sam Thaiday vs Kevin Walters - Everybody has to have a good co-pilot and fortunately for Alfie he had a fantastic one in Kevie. Walters, like his brother Kerrod was a revelation for the club and his ability to gel with just about any member in the side made him one of the best players of the 90's. Sam had a great 2010, and has had some impressive moments before then but he doesn't really hold a candle next to Kev.

Gorden Tallis vs Shane Webcke - Now this is a tough one. Tallis was fantastic for us in adjusting for life after Langer and truly was one of the best second rows I've ever seen. But Webcke gave more to the club and really plugged that gap Lazarus left us in 1998 with a stellar season. I'm yet to see a game where Webcke didn't at least have one good play in him.

I can't believe Thaiday has made it this far TBH..

He's had a pretty easy run.

From the title I'm under the impression its a battle of the favourite Bronco not necessarily the best and thus is probably why his done so well, if I was to pick a side on the basis of the best 17 who played for the Broncos based on performance, consistency etc Thaiday wouldn't probably make it though he most likely will down the track if he continues to play like he did this season.

Doesn't matter if they are young or not either. Maybe some people have grown to like Thaiday more than Kevvie for example. I reckon if Hodges was up against someone like Gillett you could even see Gillett win purely because a lot of people didn't like Hodges.

Yeah I personally forgot about this and have basically been voting favourite...

Mind you I doubt there would be too many differences. Tallis may of had the wood on Webcke though considering Tallis got me into the game but there wouldn't be too much in it.
