Favourite Broncos Tries?

where do i start ... hmmm.

how about with:

Steve Renouf in the 1992 GF

we travel to the year 2008 and marvel at Denan Kemp winning us the game against the Eels on the siren, after a superbly weighted kick from our champion captain:

now we jump to season 2009 and this gem from Jharal Yow Yeh versus the Cowboys in Townsville. a match that i was watching from a corporate box.

Now we're in 2015 and watch star signing Anthony Milford break his drought with a doubt against the Titans in round 5.

we stay in 2015 and finish our tour through time with the most unlikely of players the often maligned Lachlan Maranta

And they are just a fraction of awesomeness that we have seen from this great club. sorry for the long post. just go carried away with memories.

And if we had been seeing that Jack Reed consistently over the last few years... Then i wouldn't be calling for his demotion now

Need to come back to this thread when I have time to watch all the videos, but Renouf's '92 grand final try might be the most iconic for me.

This thread also just made me sad all over again about Jharal...

Me too. What a tragedy, what an absolutely brilliant player

1. Berrigan prelim '06 - the game changer.
2. Renouf GF '92 - the archetypal 90s Broncos try, scored on the biggest day to seal our first premiership.
3. Kemp v Parra 2008 - I dunno why this rates so highly. Kemp soft spot maybe.

Has speed certainly wasn't blinding back then, but it was a few yards faster than it is today.. Dunno what would cause someone to lose speed like that, he hasn't had any major leg injuries from memory.

Prelim Final 2006 - Shaun Berrigan
The try that kept Brisbane alive. At 20-6, all I wanted Brisbane to do was score an amazing try and I didn't have to wait too long. Hodges beats about 4 defenders, finds Berro who just keeps the legs pumping before he basically slides on his neck to plant the ball over. Loved it and it was worth way more than six points, it swung the momentum of the game.

This try is one of my all time favorites.

God I miss Tate..

The speed he had was unbelievable. He scored some very memorable tries because of it.

And that flick pass. Makes Benji look like an amateur.
