Favourite TV Footy Show

Which one(s) are the best? Which one(s) are crap???

I am a big fan of both the OneHD shows and I think they are the best, followed by NRL on Fox. I just like shows that talk footy and don't try the extra crap on the side.

I have officially given up on the thursday night Footy Show. I used to watch it for Beau Ryan's segments but he isn't funny anymore. Brad Fittler is painful and when they show Darrel Brohman getting a tattoo on his arse you know they are desperate.

The Sunday Footy Show is good for the Saturday wraps but Johns and Fittler on the panel, hard to watch.

The Roast is always good.

The League Lounge is crap, why the hell do I want to know what an Australian Idol judge thinks about Rugby League?

So it's the OneHD shows for me. One Week at a Time being the best of the two.

Yeh I didn't like the idea at first either but he's not that bad.

I haven't seen the ONEHD show.

Roast for me, generally thought provoking and while TK is a dunce and Gould can be well Gould, it's generally thought provoking and I think Voss is a good host. He's not afraid to ask the ridiculous questions which generally leads to good discussion.

I don't mind Fox's Sunday show. I think the comedians balance out the stiffs quite nicely. Then again, I don't go out of my way to watch it and some of the skits were really pathetic.

Haha, I can't stand that show. I caught a glimpse of it once, and it's just so...awkward.

The Sunday Roast is probably my favourite. They've got the perfect formula in terms of hosts and discussion.

I'm with Jeb - the One HD shows for mine. One Week At a Time just shading the Game Plan (note to Penny, Ikin is only The Game Plan and yeah like Jeb said he's not that bad). I'd then go Sunday Footy Show then the Roast for a bit of a laugh. Haven't seen the Fox shows. I think one of the keys to why I like these particular shows so much is that there is no live audience - hence no-one in front of them for the panellists to try and play up to - it's just guys sitting around talking about the game.

I love the League Lounge. I love that they have average joe's talking about footy, not just old boys. I sometimes really get sick of the old boys garble. It has it's place but at the moment I'm enjoying a break from it.

Out of all of them, the Sunday Roast is the only one I've seen, and I don't get to watch it that often because I'm either at work or at the local footy when it's on. But it has a great panel and a good mix of serious discussion and lightheartedness.

Sunday Footy and Roast* FTW, even if recorded and watched at a later time.
Both One shows are pretty good too and NRL on Fox barely makes it.
The rest, especially The Footy Show is just crap that I can't digest.

* Wish that aardvark TK was substituted by... Anyone really, even the plastic roast chook will do!

I love the Sunday Roast. It is clearly the best show out of all the ones listed. Close seconds are both ONE HD shows. I also don't mind the Sunday Footy show. Peter Sterling is easily the best commentator then the rest.

Both Fitler and Johns are very hard to listen to.
