IMO it's the best way, albeit it does come down to an individual sport at that point. But I think playing forever isn't an option and doing something like drop off cheapens the sport, afterall it is 11v11, why should a result be decided with 7v7? Have to protect the players health at some point.

I don't like pens involving my team after the Europa final where it made it all the way to GKs at 10-10 and then De Gea missed.

Honestly, I thought Morocco was the better team pretty comfortably, happy they got through.

Paraguay, I just love their tenacity, good on them for making it this far, though France (most likely) is going to be an uphill battle.

Probably the best way, still shit though. Must be the emptiest feeling losing, especially a final.

It is a pretty empty feeling.

1998, 2022 and now today, all of them Netherlands being knocked out on penalties. 1998 was the worst because that was a Semi Final match.

But it's not as empty as losing that 2010 Final, especially when we had the most golden chance to win it, and it's a chance that 9 times out of 10 Robben would nail, but couldn't turn it into a goal. And then Iniesta scores with just minutes left in extra time.

Feel like that Robben miss is going to haunt Netherlands forever. That was the chance for World Cup glory. I don't think I'm ever going to see a Netherlands win in my lifetime.

France should win, but if they have a chink its their tendency to have a lapse in d. Sweden's forward line of isak gyokeres and elanga are good enough to pose some questions.
Could be a boilover.
