FOOTBALL FIFA World Cup 2026

What was the free kick for before?

The poms pretty clearly ran into each other... even live that was obvious

Pickford lucky really he wasnt pulled up for covering his mouth while he had his arm around Odegaard. Stupid from him.

And that's full time.

England through to the Semi Final.

It's been a good world cup from Norway.

I still really think this world cup is anybodies. No team has been a standout imo. There is a vunerability to most sides.

I'm still not convinced by us, but we are finding a way to win even while we are not playing well.

It surprises me the way teams play cup football.

So often they seem to play not to lose... instead of trying to win.

England would've gone into that game thinking they're the better team, but they didn't really try to attack... it seemed like they would've been more than happy to let it go to penalties, but that just brings the odds to basically 50/50.

Why would a better team not be out there trying to win instead of playing basically for a 50/50 against a supposedly weaker team.

Penalties happen way too often in cup tournaments

France have gotta be clear favourites.

They have been the one team that actually go out there and try to blow their opposition off the park. They play an exciting brand of football and the combination Olise is forming with Mbappe is lethal.

I thought Mbappe's ego would have been a problem for France, but it's been the opposite. He's been the best player this World Cup.

Just seen the footage of the ball hitting the camera on Eng first goal. Thats pretty crazy, play probably should have been stopped.

Feels like at France despite all the ridiculous players, he is 'the' guy. At RM, ego's come more into play, struggled to find balance with he and Vini.

France have been a level above.
They have been good but i think they have shown you can get at them at times, but their opposition needs to be on the ball to do it. They havent been in a game where they will get into a grind to win yet, and that will inevitably happen at some point.

They are clear favourites, but i'm confident if Tuchel gets it right we can beat them. I dont think we are good enough defensivley to sit back and try to keep things tight against their attack.

It happens a fair bit where teams just bore their way to winning the world cup or the Euros.
