Agree. will be a 2 month long tournament with no break for players in the off season.
It's weird to say but for a lot of the smaller teams qualifying for the WC was the achievement. Now it's just everyone gets a spot.
 
It could kind of work if it was done over two years. 64 - 32 meet in WC stage 1 in 3 years time and then 32 - 1 meet in WC stage 2 in 4 years. This is sort of kind of a little bit similar to what baseball does with their world cup.
 
France look a bit rattled. Spain keeping possession well and finding half gaps.
 
Spain have been excellent and hardly given France a sniff. Their much vaunted forward line has been completely nullified.
 
Tactical masterclass by Spain. Total domination.
You have to wonder whether France wouldve benefited from a tough match at some point, first time they came up against a team that matched them they looked clueless.

Thats what i was kind of saying the other day. Apart from Paraguay and their rough house tactics, they havent had to get into a game where its been a grind for them. First time its really happened this tournament, they have been beaten.
