POST GAME [Finals Week 1, 2023] Broncos vs Storm

On the replay I really bumped again on the fact that when Xavier was injured it was only the Broncos boys got around him no Storm players. I noticed Staggs and Walshy making sure he was ok at the game, but upon replay realising none of his own Storm players checking on him.
First person to console pap was smoothy.

Rewatched this morning and two moments stood out to me.

First was Reynolds line dropout over the sideline on the 50. That was a fucking beautiful kick.
Everyone expects a standard drop out, or a short dropout.

Second was Flegler repeatedly wrangling and shitwhipping Hughes while he was roaming looking to make shit happen.
It was relentless and everytime he thought he had some space, Flegler was there collaring him.

What a game.
Actually looking forward to the next game.

Jesus. Talk about grasping at straws. At first glance it looked suspect. No issue asking a basic question. Cam Smith shows no allegiance to any team. If you listen to him on the Captain's run with Kempie he's been pretty critical of the Storm this year.
Yeah 100% thinking the same thing. Look I wouldn’t go to town on @Finbar about it cause if you hadn’t listened to the captains run you probably wouldn’t be as strongly stances as us on the matter. But respect where it’s due for the most part he has distanced himself from the club in terms of providing opinions and just in general really. He has been critical, honest about his feelings and opinions on things related to the Storm. I for one was really impressed he could be quite impartial where he all but admitted earlier in the year the ref did a lot to help the Storm win that game. Obviously come finals time bias’ will heighten and that should just be expected. He is probably on of best at being impartial.

Was thinking the same during the game last night. In fact the only time he’s really been 100% biased was when cheering on Ben hunts origin try. It was legendary because Joey John’s was practically crying

Also gotta shout out Herbie, he was incredible last night and was unlucky not to have a few breaks. The Storm were really struggling to put him down all night.
My missus reckons Herbie has a "tell." When does his little skip it means he's going to run into the opposition and not pass it. Karmichael Hunt used to do the same thing.
