They've done admirably but Walsh will get targeted & we need more weapons in do or die mode.
That 2nd half against Storm we were struggling for yardage and kicking game of Reynolds would've helped.

Mam is the only player who could improve that spine. I prefer Billy at 14 over 9, unless you want to play a supersub like Cobbo in the last 20 minutes. What Billy has brought to 6 is likely to deteriorate if he's asked to tacklebot at 9 for 60 minutes.

could see it being a split role in a pinch if we arnt carrying a backup in the 17 someone with speed in attack and someone more vocal in defence,but if we are talking foul play taking walsh out in the redcliffe scenario id carry cobbo as the 18th man
 
I actually don't hate Locky's suggestion I saw a clip of post match.

Reynolds at 14 and you drop one of Smoothy or Paix. (Would be Paix for me).

For his first game back, you start;

6. Billy
7. Hunt
9. Paix/Smoothy
14. Reynolds

Once the early sting/niggle is out of the game, you go;

6. Billy/Hunt
7. Reyno
9. Hunt/Billy
14. Paix/Smoothy

Billy or Hunt could do the hooker role and the other one goes to 6. Whatever Madge thinks suits best. Bill and Hunt can play 80, so they could definitely finish out the game at hooker.

I trust whatever Madge decides, comfortable he will pick whatever he thinks the best option is.

This is the most sensible option if we must play Reynolds.
 
Yeah Maguire has earned the right to pick who he wants and we will almost all back him I think. He's done a great job, managed a very difficult season very well. He got us into top 4, that's already a massive tick.

I suspect we aren't done by any means though. Our final next week are THE two form teams against each other. Would not be surprised if the GF winner comes from our game.
 
Keeping the same 17. The only person I'd consider bringing back is Willison, if he's fit he can take JHunt's spot.

I don't care if Reynolds is fit, I don't want him playing again. Sad way to go out, but he's done.

Billy's edge was the most at risk last night with Piaks, Mariner and Karp... but for the most part it looked extremely solid.

Mariner was really good in defence as well... Shiba in recent weeks has been getting beaten on his outside, but thats not happening with Mariner, and his reads were good as well... saved us on a lot of dangerous situations, including the early one where he and Billy pushed Warbrick over the sideline

Don't think it matters who goes out there Madge has got the boys fired up and switched on. Full faith in whatever team he decides to pick come finals

Nah far too chaotic the obvious choice is
7. Reno
6. Walters
9. Hunt
14. Paix/ smoothy

Madge will have a good plan for it either way. When Ezra returns you simply put him back at 6 and Walters to 14. No dramas or issues at all we have crazy depth and skill and all these blokes will turn up on their day and do a good job

It's obvious unless you think we've looked better in Reyno's absence, with Hunt moving from 9 to 7. If you're thinking like this - and many are - it's a very tough decision, which chances are will be made by Reyno's hammy. At least in this round.
