Walsh's return is what has flipped the form line around for this team.

Ezra was in the dargons loss at home and then the manly game when we got flogged... Reece returned the next week vs titans in the blackout jersey and has gone 9-2 since coming back.

The two losses being parra on the bell and storm when we lost both halves in one play.

In this run we have also gone 4-0 without Ezra.

Any talk that Walsh isn't the most influential player is just incorrect.

We've actually got a better win percentage without Ezra this year than with him... 64% without vs 60% with him... and we are 1-2 when it's Ezra without Walsh (losses to dargs and manly to go with the win vs dogs in Rd 18)
Mam’s a good footy player but he’s massively overrated on this forum in general

😂 He's really not. Ezra is straight back in if fit.
Probably but that doesn’t mean what I’m saying isn’t correct. No other teams looking at our sheet going oh shit they have Ezra mam, but this forum ****ing loves the bloke for some reason.

Like I said he’s decent just not as good as he gets pumped up on here

Really, everyone?

If Reynolds and/or Mam are 100% fit you're not bringing them straight back in? Can't believe what I'm reading. It is a no brainer for Madge. Also, if injury strikes we now have players with confidence in those positions that can fill-in mid game.

We forget we were 2nd on the ladder and 4-1 five weeks into the season with Reynolds and Hunt in the halves.

I'm bringing them straight in, however the luxury we have is we don't have to bring them straight in unless they are 100% fit.

I know right ...

72 minute mark of the GF. Up by 4, Penrith has us on the ropes.

Reynold’s went long drop out, went out on the full.

A long drop out going out in the full, especially when you’re in the lead in a GF, is an unimaginable **** up.

76th minute, still on the ropes, still up by 4, line drop out, kicks it 30 metres and the only thing stopping it going out was Martin saving him by not leaving it. Within 2 tackles they’re in the 10m line.

Cleary steps inside Reynolds and scores

They were more him trying to fire them low and hard to cause an error out of penrith or get the ball back, because the wingers and centres weren't doing shit on the short dropouts.

He also couldn't go long because it would only go about 40m in the wind and they'd be inside the 20m within two tackles and simple grubbers for repeat sets to go again.

He was trying to solve a problem on his own, which is a no no, but at that point he was losing trust in his team being able to defuse the short ones.

Can't help but feel that whatever/if changes take place, we really run the risk of messing with the flow of things. Players who beat Melbourne will still be running high on adrenaline and they have their thing going on (player interactions/dynamics amongst each other).. do we NEED to make changes? If the rest of the team follow Walshy's example of pure determination, tough and controlled aggression like in that tackle he made .. we'll win this. He had no mercy for Coates. Was a very beautiful thing.

Back the defence, don’t try the 1% play

They tried backing the defence in 2015 and lost then as well... in the end they were having to back the defence in 2023 as well and it also failed.

I think the decision is easy for Madge. He leaves Adam Reynolds out for the Canberra game and keeps the team together for continuity. If the Broncos lose, then he can consider bringing Reynolds in for the semi-final. Leaving Reynolds out for the Canberra gives him more time to rest his hammy. It's a win-win.

If the Broncos win in Canberra without Reynolds, there will be enormous pressure to leave him out of the preliminary final. It happens; Gary Coyne didn't play in the 1999 Grand Final for the Dragons because he didn't think it was fair to the team. He received wide spread admiration for his unselfishness for doing it too.

I don’t care why he did it, they were the wrong calls and executed them terrible.

Short drop out would’ve been an even worse choice

I don't think any decision he makes changes the result... we couldn't get the ball back

Sook master Ricky already blowing up that they earned the right to choose when to play W1 Finals. He has rested 11 of their 17 best for their R27 game tomorrow yet, the prick clams that we’ve an unfair advantage of getting a 9 day break. He’s adamant that they only want to play next Sunday but not Saturday.

We will get them this time. No matter when we play them, we’re flying back to Brisbane on the back of a win & a week off for our troops.

The Ricky tears after a loss are always great

Would you like us to point out Ben hunts finger prints in the 2015 grand final also? He handed it to the cowboys on a silver platter - from the mid kicking game, the ridiculous head high/lifting tackle and dropping the ****ing ball on the kick off.

The comments on those posts just show how little people that comment actually watch and understand, and why these type of articles will always thrive. Scrolled 3 seconds on both the X and Facebook posts of FoxNRL for this article, and saw multiple posts to the effect of, "what's new, NRL favours Broncos" or, "NRL favours Broncos so of course."

Amazing the NRL was able to schedule round 27 games so long ago to maximise Broncos favouring for week 1 of the finals.

It's hillarious 😂
