PRE-GAME Finals Week 1 - Broncos vs Dragons

We deserve to be strong favourites. It all depends on what kind of Dragons team turns up I suppose. Their forwards can be pretty devastating on their day and Manly did roll through us in the forwards at times yesterday.

I wonder if they'll get a sell out for this game?

JDB could be out. Their pack is pretty bad without even PV. Our forwards need to be fired up, if they are there's no way the Dragons can match them and we'll roll through the middle comfortably.

Hopefully Bird is back on the bench for this, because the only way I can see us losing is via Kahu's defence. We'll need Bird at centre for week 2 onwards if we make it.

Don't forget these guys put Gillo out for the season with a crusher tackle and in all honesty could have ended his playing career. Our pack I'm sure will want some form of payback. I hope Gillo takes a seat with the boys for the game just in case they need reminding.

Really tempted to go to this!!

Anyone got a code so I can have a peruse at tickets? Wouldn't necessarily use it.

I don't think that will be on their minds at all.

Won't happen. He'll be behind a beaten pack. BrittleBen will fluff it as usual.

I'm a bit scared of frizzell running at Milford and kahu though... our left side defence needs to be really switched on for the finals.

I've got a code for up to 8 tickets. PM me and let me know how many tickets you'll be buying so I can keep track.

EDIT:

Down to 4.

I would be wheeling Matty out in a neck brace as a constant reminder.

Brisbane are set to be boosted with representative pair Andrew McCullough and Alex Glenn eyeing returns for Sunday's sudden-death clash with the Dragons at Suncorp Stadium, though the jury remains out on boom forward Tevita Pangai jnr.
McCullough is a certain starter after overcoming a heavy concussion that forced him out of the Broncos big win over Manly, while Glenn was a late scratching with a calf injury as well, but the club is confident the seven-day turnaround will have him back on deck.

Alarm bells rang when Pangai jnr left the field after 50 minutes clutching his hamstring, though Brisbane officials claim he could have returned to the fray if needed.
Captain Darius Boyd said the injury was the same nerve-related groin/hamstring concern Pangai jnr has battled previously this year, and stands a good chance of healing in time for the bumper clash.
"(Pangai jnr) said it was just a neural injury, which usually means it's pretty good and will be right in 3-4 days time," Boyd told NRL.com on Monday.
"Fingers crossed it is the neural thing and he'll be straight back out on Sunday."

The Tongan international has played through the pain more than once already in 2018, most notably when Wayne Bennett pushed him to take the paddock against Penrith six weeks ago and Pangai jnr promptly played the house down.
Dragons lock Jack de Belin meanwhile is sweating scans on a foot injury that he too played through against the Newcastle despite hearing a crack in his foot early in the game.
Skipper Gareth Widdop is a confirmed starter for the Red V as he returns from a dislocated shoulder, and could have played in the Knights game if the Dragons were still in contention for a top four spot.

PM me if Morkel runs out. My code has 8 on it.

They'll just be trying to win the game.
Well of course we all fully expect them to be wanting to win the game, but that's not the question I asked. I was wondering how you knew for sure that seeking some form of payback for their mate and club would not enter into their thoughts.

Suncorp Stadium, Ben Hunt on the opposition side... if everyone starts booing him, surely he's not going to be able to recover, not after the last few weeks?
