Well we usually have the POTS facebook post scheduled for 9:30 and when the game has a lot of stoppages it usually posts 10-15 minutes before full time.

I would say around 9:45. No later than 10.

Thanks mate. Lets hope for a bronx win in regular time with little stoppages.

To defeat the Storm, Broncos need to emulate the playing style of the Auckland Warriors. The Warriors has been a bogey team for the Storm. Hopefully the Broncos will throw caution to the wind and attack the edges with 2nd and 3rd phase plays. Don't let the Storm dominate the ruck by being predictable in attack.

There is a massive upset on the cards here gentlemen. Every now and then you just get a feeling, or a hunch on what's going to happen. Body language, attitude etc.

I feel we are going to win this.
Can we sticky this?

I'm fucking pumped. Let's take it to the cheating pricks.

It's only Tuesday. Fucking Thai time making everything feel so slow. The Panthers game was like two weeks ago.

The Broncos just need to look at their Round 25 game last year and go in with the same attitude.

I remain extremely doubtful they will even come close. But you never know..

The Storm have Jessie B McLean Glasby and Big Nelson - I can't see how our big men in the middle can match them for the life of me. This is where it will be won and lost -the issue of Darius and Oates playing or not playing peripheral Imho. We can talk about throwing it wide and offloading at will but if we get dominated in the middle I can not fathom how we can win. Melbourne dominated the middle at Suncorp and put 40+ on us - they now have a weeks rest and are injury free wherein we have a number of players with niggles.......I would be happy with a close loss :)

Cronk and the storm haven't even been milking for a fairytale. They're gonna lose this week.

Pangai is Broncos’ version of Taumalolo

September 19, 2017

BRONCO Alex Glenn draws a comparison between returning teammate Tevita Pangai Jr and rugby league’s premier impact forward Jason Taumalolo.

Pangai, who is set to return from a two-week hamstring injury in Friday’s preliminary final in Melbourne, averages only 26 minutes a game this year but coach Wayne Bennett usually gets some bang from the interchange forward.

“Tevita can really get us forward and brings a lot of energy, screaming for the ball to get into the game,’’ Glenn said.

“He has the offloads and the power. He’s a bit like a Jason Taumalolo.’’

Pangai’s bench mates Joe Ofahenguae and Herman Ese’Ese both average 33 minutes a game, with Ofahenguae the most productive of the trio in attack with 97m from 11 carries on average in 2017.

While Melbourne like to wrestle ball-carriers to slow play-the-balls, Glenn said their forwards fight hard to get play going quickly when they are in possession.

“Jesse Bromwich is a strong runner and watching the videos they like to finish on their front and get quick play the balls away,’’ Glenn said.

“In the middle, we have a job on our hands.

“They have a lot of structure. They are clinical and relentless as well.

“Last week’s game was a great preparation for us and we have to take that enthusiasm down to Melbourne.’’

In their past three games at AAMI Park, the Broncos have won twice and lost once, a nail-biter in Round 3 this year.

Since 2015, only one other team, Parramatta, have won twice in Melbourne.

In the first match against the Storm this year at AAMI Park, the Broncos led 12-8 until a late converted try gave Melbourne a 14-12 victory.

“I think the occasion will lift us and take a bit of the crowd factor out,” said Broncos playmaker Benji Marshall.

“The last time we played them there we got pipped at the post.

“But they are not going to beat themselves.”

Niko had to start. Whether it was at fullback or halfback, he had to be in the starting side.

The strongest part of Melbourne's defence is their middle, but their weakness is their edges. They are masters at the wrestle and stifling a team's attack, so teams don't get much of a chance to exploit their edges.

But they have trouble handling a team that plays an uptempo style and if we can do that, Niko is the perfect player to exploit those edges. He doesn't hold any fear. He doesn't care how big the occasion is, whether his opponent is a 300 gamer that's won Grand Finals, he won't go into his shell and he'll keep taking them on.

I'm gonna be having heart attacks every time the storm are in our 10

If TPJ is such a weapon why only give him 20 minutes. He a absolute beast and close to my favourite player. Bennett needs to get him on the field ffs.

Because he still gasses quickly. His fitness isn't quite where it should be.

I'm not sure if you go to any games but when you see him come off the field and watch him walking along the sideline, you can see him huffing and puffing like he's just ran a marathon.

If he stays on too long then he ends up hurting the team more than he helps it.

Oates will play according to 9 news.

He was giving him more minutes until he got injured. He was bringing him in for the final 30-35 mins. He wasn't as effective in that period, does get more prone to defensive lapses, and his injury is more common in fatigue (granted every injury is but particularly hamstrings are). I love tpj as well, but atm he's better used in short bursts. I'd rather he took blairs spot and got 2 stints with blair getting 1 long stint to end the game (30 mins). That way we start and finish with aggression with tpj, and blair to keep us solid at the end of games when defensive frailty can't be covered up (it's been him lately anyway who has let us down in defence), aso blairs 2nd stints are much better then his 1st because he sees how the game plays out (can he play tricky footy with offloads and set plays up, or just raw aggression needed)

With Niko at 7, both Gillett and Roberts will get much better ball this week.
Hopefully Gillett gets plenty of early decoy runs so he can't stifle early ball for Roberts.

Just give the man the ball and let him do his thing!!!
