Finals Week 3 vs. Manly

Nothing to be ashamed about tonight boys. Inexperience and the loss of Locky just too much to overcome.

Well done to Manly.

If someone told me at the start of this season that a Lockyer-less Broncos would lose 14-26 to this very very good manly side in a prelim final in sydney, I'd have been very surprised that the margin was that close.

With an off-season to prepare for life without the Broncos' G.O.A.T those youngsters will be ok

Agreed Crazy Sam, Wallace needs to get his attacking kicking pin-point next year. And we need a proper half next year.

The fact that I said the game was over like 5 times just shows you how much guts the boys showed tonight. Could have easily gave up the ghost and let Manly put on an easy victory but they hung on despite their inexperience.

It's sinking in now, it sucks and I really hated the decision to play Gillett and the idea of watching a club like Manly, who contribute jack s**t to the game celebrate a grand final appearance but that's life.

We missed Gillett's running game tonight. Would've been better if we had a proper half at six.

Manly may have been the better team statistically but if we had the refs calls going our way, we would have won.

Hope they get smashed next week.

That game was gifted to Manly. I have no doubt that if Locky had played we would have won by 12. Damn his leadership is priceless.

As for Gillett, he looked like a fish out of water. I recant. He is no half.

Poor discipline, lack of structure and when will we lern to create real space out wide? Hodges is wasted.

A great season nevertheless.

First of all, manly deserved the win, they played all over us and I think we did well considering the bounce of the ball nor the refs decisions in the first half did not favour us. Without doubt we will be force next year, although the lack of a genuine second receiver/playmaker will limit how successful we will be. I have a lot of hope for Norman but he doesn't seem ready and Hunt is too much like Wallace, and orgainiser not a creator, but I guess we will see. We got beaten tonight with experience, Manly had it, we didn't. We will learn, but it's the little things that win these the big games. The Broncos can be proud of their season, I know I am. We played our grand final last week and it was a lot to expect them to step up and play with that intensity this week and again next week. I have no doubt that Manly will win the GF because their over all game is better then the Storms, but for now I am just happy with our season and will wait until 2012 when it starts all over again.

A lot closer game than we realise ..... two tries that we missed (Reed and Gillett) and we were level pegging.

A great year though, and a gutsy effort tonight.

Well done Broncos, way to defeat yourselves! I'm so infuriated with the lack of discipline and the crumbling under the pressure. :ranting:

We really missed Lockyer and Hoffman tonight, that's for sure.

The senior players were very disappointing too, compounded with all the errors and ball we gave them, and we managed to bomb 2 sure tries, which would've gotten us close (well... maybe, with Parker's crap kicking). Everything put together and the clear intention from the refs to get the scum over the line. the score wasn't too bad.

As for the dirty scum, they deserved the win, but #### I hope whoever plays them in the GF puts 40 on them!

At least it wasn't a heart breaker like the game we don't talk about...
