I understand it’s mid week but this crowd is fucken woeful. Woeful stadium for the majority of its purpose. Beautiful but unnecessarily big. Hopefully far bigger crowds come out on the weekend or we should seriously be considering the future of the test at this location. Likely to be an entertaining nation come next year I reckon it’s probably the venues last chance cause it has been very underwhelming every time it has gotten a run in at any level of cricket. Would seriously love for the government to pump a bit of money back into the WACA for it to be operational (I believe it is pretty run down now) cause that is a genuinely great venue.

Same shit happens in the NRL far to many teams try and use to big a venue despite how asshole not only the venue is but they perform (not that Australia is performing asshole).

They averaged 25,000 against New Zealand and India the other two Tests there.

WI are terrible, it’s not holidays and mid week.

It’s all the same arguments the QC use when the ‘Gabba only get 10,000.
