Former rugby league star Danny Wicks will watch Sunday's grand final between Manly and the Warriors from behind bars after today being sentenced to three years' jail for drug trafficking.
Wicks will be eligible for parole in 18 months and showed little emotion during the sentencing hearing.

In handing down the sentence, Judge Helen Syme noted that “from time to time, good people do bad things’’ and said Wicks was just “a cog - one of many in a drug supply chain’’

Drugcastle, how could you do something so dumb??

Tandy was in court today too.

Not a good look for Rugby League especially in Grand Final week.

It's a great look for League, Our drug issue involves players who have been sacked or arrested. The AFL drug problem are players still playing and possibly some playing tomorrow.

They kept the Andrew Johns drug taking a secret.

And he admitted it pretty much straight away:)

ASDA and the NRL Dr, checked things out regarding Webcke.

His Dr just failed to put in the request form for the prescription.

Probably so other not so honest players, didn't go to Drs & cheat.

I know but they still kept it hush hush. Who really knows what's going on in the NRL?
