Cmon Lewis, give us a fun finish
Miles off it. The late season charge of McLaren ended abruptly.McLarens way off the pace today.
Yeah they aren't able to use the wing they have been using recently in Vegas.Apparently something to do with the McLaren wing? Didn't catch the whole thing but they mentioned it in commentary.
Hope next season is a bit closer.
No doubting the talent of Max, but we need more of a title fight next season. Been too long.

I'm a fairly recent F1 lover, so I don't know much about the previous seasons but I'm optimistic as ****. The rise of McLaren, Mercedes have started to look fast, Hamilton moving to Ferrari and the lead engineer(?) from Red Bull leaving...I think next year is wide open tbh.
Max benefitted massively from being far ahead early season but since mid-season, it’s been a lot tighter. Next year should be epic.
In addition to the tightening up of the field and Lewis moving to Ferrari, that are a bucketload of new drivers for the first time in years too. Next year will be a lot of fun.
It is the time for Rookies these days, after a long spell of barely having any, it is probably most thanks to Bearman's performance in Saudi that it has started to happen. Also a new Aussie on the grid - Dothan will be driving for Alpine and this is exciting because while inconsistent, he’s quick and that car is also suddenly showing some signs of life.

Doohan has potential I think, he wasn't consistant in F2 but most importantly he has shown to be very pacey when he gets it together, F1 has alot more running than F2 so it tends to allow those that show pace to unlock their potential as the consistent types tend to just plateau.
Also there is alot of talk about how fast he is on the sim, plenty of people saying him and Antonelli(another driver with massive raps including some leaks from Mercedes he is easily faster than Russell on the sim) are probably up there with Verstappen pace when it comes to Iracing so if he can translate that, he might surprise a few.
I think the Mclaren is still fastest overall it's just it doesn't work in the Cold as it's easier on the tyres, the same reason Merc who are typically hard on the tyres worked at Vegas as they could get them into the zone, at Qatar I would expect Mclaren to be fastest, very hot temps(and even at night the track will still be warm) and the track design is very suitable to their package, probably between them and the Ferrari's.Doohan is very talented, I agree he just needs the extended shot and he'll do really well.
That Alpine is really showing some potential, which is great timing for him to get the seat. Funny that McLaren at the same time has started to really fall away too.
