Not necessarily. Norris has one hand on the trophy but has two guys now breathing down his neck who will be right with him if he has one bad result. We don’t know how he will handle this pressure.

Tonight’s race is absolutely huge. If Piastri can win and take qualifying proper in first place, all eyes will be on Norris and what he can do to respond. If Norris qualifies 2nd or 3rd row on the grid then it’s always possible he gets taken out. Today and tomorrow likely decide the championship though.

Yea its gonna be a huge weekend. Either the championship is decided, or its open for the final race!

You would expect Norris to be playing it safe though.

Yeah let’s hope he does because that will put him in danger. This track is notoriously difficult to overtake so hopefully Oscar gets away and Lando loses a few spots and the main race repeats the dose.

Super comfortable sprint win for Oscar, now we need to go again for quali proper, and hope for a Lando **** up.

Max is still quick but he is very unhappy with his car currently
 
Boom! Oscar came up clutch. Pressure on Lando now, Max and George right behind him and on the dirty side of the grid - this might well not be over yet. Let's go Oscar!
 
Well mclaren ****ed him again on another strategy call. Didnt want to pit him and leave him to make first, whilst lando missed out (enabling piastri to gain another 13 points on him), so lets make both miss.

Seriously, **** mclaren man.

So if mclaren had done their job, piastri this weekend would have cut the lead from 24 down to 9! Heading into the last race that was very achievable, but not so now.

Its no coincidence that for the sprints where he doesnt have to depend on mclaren pit strategy, he does well.

Again, **** mclaren. ****ing lot of whinging brits led by a ****ing arrogant dumbass american.
 
McLaren should hang their heads in shame. Piastri should have this championship wrapped up. Instead they favoured Lando the whole time and so as a result, Max is now likely to steal it.

Oscar is still not without a strong hop though despite being shafted at every turn. Given everything that’s happened, it shows how good a driver Oscar is.

The last track favours him, hopefully Lando has a shocker and Oscar can win it and steal the championship he should already be winning.
 
If they had changed tyres with the VSC Lando more than likely finishes second and Piastri first. Piastri would only have an extra point from those finishes as opposed to what actually happened.
It still leaves him in the same position of having to win and Lando finishing 5th or worse.
Still leaves a shitty taste.
 
All Oscar dan do is win and that takes care of Max. All he then Needs is Lando to have a shocker and that is possibly with so much pressure on him.
 
That's a monumental **** up. Wow. Leaving Oscar out of it, they've left the door wide open for Max.

McLaren may still pull it off because they produced a car that was so far ahead of everyone else early season but they have done just about everything else wrong. This has been a masterclass season in how to screw up tactically.

I still can't believe they actively undermined their World Championship leader at a time when he was starting to run away with it. It just completely boggles the mind and if Oscar can't win it, I hope he helps Max steal it instead.

Unfortunately, Oscar is such a great team man, if it comes to pulling over to let Lando past so he can win the title, he'll still do it. Such a shame. That said, if Max looks like he is going to take it out and Oscar is no chance, I would LOVE it if he just 'happened' to take out Lando 'accidentally' as a stuff you to the team.

I wouldn't go quite that far lol. I'd rather Lando win it than Oscar doing something like that.
 
Ferrari level of butchering a sure win by McLaren. Incredible.

Oscar was the quickest comfortably. His post-race radio just made me angry. Oscar knew they butchered it for him.

Antonelli pissed me off too. 2 free points for Lando.

Kudos to Sainz though. Great drive and getting the Williams a podium.
