Well funnily enough...that did end up being an interesting ending. Mind you, not because of the actual racing, because of the penalties, spin offs and random things. That speed trap was clearly faulty.

This world championship is over and we've barely started. Russell has fallen apart, everyone else is having not finished results, etc an Kimi is already almost three races ahead. This is over.

As they said in the coverage, everyone who has won five races in a row in history has gone on to win the championship. Kimi is going to be a teenage world champion - unreal.
 
It's very likely but still think it's too early to call it. Look what happened last season. Mid-season upgrades can change a lot of things. I'm here for more Russell meltdowns though.

I think the fact we've lost two races already in addition to DNFs to Max, Lando (multiple), Oscar and George (in addition to his shocker today) really makes it almost impossible that Kimi doesn't win it. He could have multiple top 5 finishes (without winning it) and still have a huge lead by mid season.

As you say, it definitely isn't over but the fact every driver who has won five races in a row previously has won the WC, that's a lot of history to overturn.

Yeah, not disagreeing, but being a teenager still, stuff starts to go wrong and snowball, we don't know what he could do. Already shown he can get pretty hot under the collar in races with George.

Yep all good points and I really hope for the comp's sake, he does come back to the field a bit because as things stand, he's going to walk this championship in and that becomes kind of boring.

Well it took right until the near end of the race but that is a great result for changing everything! Far out.

And for Ferrari to win a race on pace but more importantly, strategy, which multiverse have we shifted to??

That has given some life to the championship alright.
 
I know that McLaren is really well off the top pace currently, but Oscar looks so slow compared to last year. He is really struggling, and Lando appears to be much quicker. Really disappointing.

Wonder if they've made changes that don't suit his driving style.

Yeah he has really been disappointing. Maybe just wants to throw this season in the bin.
 
Yep but how good is it that Ferrari are back. Hamilton v Antonelli is going to be a fun ride I think if Lewis can continue to close the gap.
 
Is there enough time for both of them to get him?
 
I think both Antonelli and Verstappen will run out of time here. Shame. A few more laps this would have been a real crazy finish I think.
