Handcomb and Marsh? We're going to cop some big thrashings over the next 12 months with Handcomb and the Marshes in our middle order... Paine hasn't scored a ton in over ten years as well. I hope the people who called for Smith's lynching keep watching.

Out of those contracted players I would go with: Renshaw, Khawaja (dropped for Weatherald if he stays in form and Usman doesn't start scoring runs), Maxwell, Marsh/ Head (if Head can start scoring consistently in shield cricket he should be there, the ACB also have a hard on for him it seems), Finch (check his FC record over the past few season before you laugh), MMarsh, Carey/ Paine, bowlers.

I feel bad for Patto, the guy is a freak and could easily bat at 6/7 given our options.

Imagine Patto making himself good enough to become a batsman. He'd only need to bowl what Marsh does and imagine the damage he could do in that time. There is your all-rounder sorted!

Pretty sure it's not a case of them losing it, it's the fact that super nerds at Nine said that cricket was costing them far more money than it makes, and it was to the point where it was affecting the business as a whole.

Channel 7 and sport is just an absolutely abysmal ad-fest. Foxtel getting it might actually cause me to start watching it again.

No problem with nine losing it but the fact that 20/20s and ODIs wont be on FTA is a real blow for the game espeically in ODIs when its struggling enough as it is.

It's gonna be weird not having the cricket on 9.. I don't have a lot of love for many, if any of the commentators on 9 though, so it shouldn't be too bad of a transition to 7 & Foxtel.

Hopefully they build some decent commentary teams, as above, I'd like to see more of guys like Ponting & Gilly. The only 2 guys I don't hate listening to from the current 9 commentary team are Tubby & Heals, wouldn't mind them coming over.

As long as I never have to hear Nicholas, Warne, Slater or Brayshaw ever again, I'm satisfied.

I wish all the whinging on SM and in the news about this would be directed to Foxtel for them to reduce their prices. At the end of the day, the experience of watching anything will be ten times greater on Foxtel, there is simply no comparison. They give a shit about the sports they represent, and they present them very well for the fans.

I agree with everything in your post except this, it is a top notch show, it really is. Only one episode did I find myself thinking it wasn't so good. Overall, just a fantastic show.

That said, I do remember watching the Winter Olympics one night and thinking, wow that add for the Good Doctor just blatantly lied (I had already seen the upcoming episode) and they deliberately edited it to make it look like there was a conflict between two characters that was and never has been the case.
