CRICKET General Cricket Discussion - 2023/24

Took one bite too many and Labs gets carted in the last.

Chasing 352 against a better bowling attack with weak batting in a pitch starting to misbehave, a win will take something special.

Went as I expected. I like our backup bowlers, put them beside 2 of Cummins/Starc/Haz
lewood and they'd be fine. But having to carry the attack against the firepower of Eng/India, they're gonna get smashed

Amazing innings from Inglis and Carey played very well too. Almost like he timed his dismissal perfectly for Maxi to come in with about 8 overs left

Fantastic win after being set 352

Well done Inglis and Carey. Short too. I haven’t been impressed at all with Short but he laid a good platform here. Isn’t Carey having an amazing year too, in the side as a batsman based on pure merit and nailing every opportunity he gets.

Inglis joined Watson, Maxwell and Warner as the Aussies with centuries in all 3 formats. It'd be a huge help if he's good enough to play as a test batsmen.

If Owen can continue with this style of play and learn to balance the line between all out aggression and measured aggression, he's going to be a gun. He is great to watch when he gets going.

Owen with his first OD hundred, he is so destructive and while he just the modern day ramps, etc, he's just such a clean hitter on normal strokes.

Tassie need 330 and at this rate, Owen might get 250 of them.

The umpires are even not calling wides to try and help SA but it isn't working.

He's gone for 149 at the end of the 20th. That's pretty unlucky actually but what an innings.
