Michael Hagan quits as Parramatta Eels coach
By Paul Kent
October 21 2008

PARRAMATTA'S Michael Hagan will quit as Eels coach at midday.

The Eels have called a press conference for noon where Hagan will announce his resignation.

The Parramatta board was told of Hagan's decision at a board meeting last night, the first anybody knew of Hagan's unhappiness.

I knew...that's why I tipped he'd be the first coach to go...my reasoning was who could be happy coaching the Parramatta Chokers & answering to Dennis Fitzgerald?

ROFLCOPTER!!! One of the game's worst coaches finally works out he can't coach. Gold!

Only took him a little while to realise "pass it to Joey" is not the best gameplan for all teams...

He needed to go. It has looked ominous ever since they werent a chance of making this years finals. Hayne, Inu and co not playing well didnt help his cause either.

That does bring up the question. Is he the first of 2009 or last of 2008? He did see out Parra's season but the 2008 league season is ongoing.

Hmmm interesting eusa_think

The season technically ends on October 31, doesn't it? I guess that would make him the last of 2008...

That's my argument Mick.

Plus that means mrslong is wrong. Bwahaha.

I heard Hagan said that he didnt like the travel from Newcastle. Didnt any1 tell him before he signed how long it takes to get to Parra each day?
