I don't mind keeping him out of harms way while he's still young...don't want him following the same path as SBW, KHunt, Benji and other players that were flogged at a young age...as long as he stays up here that is. [icon_pray.

i never believe anything i see until the deal is signed - after seeing petero with his own mouth say he was going to re-sign with the broncos....it's not over til it's over.

Yep.

If Hannant is smart that's what he'll do, even if he has no intentions of going anywhere. He'll know that he's at least in the frame for Origin this year so if he feels contract talks (bearing in mind that he manages himself) won't be a huge distraction then there's no harm in waiting a little longer.

The Broncos will be aware of this too and probably have a few plans in place for Ben, hence the reports that he hasn't been made any formal offers as yet.

As always though, it sucks being a fan and not in the know. All we have to go off is whispers and newspaper reports, which are often the last things you want to be listening to.

This is potentially just the start with Hannant, Boyd and now Locky all tipped to be considering a move.

Everyone who was wishing for a change of coach is now seeing the reality of that change. I wonder if this is what was envisaged ?.
Our club was built around a marquee coach and person and it will be a huge challenge for Bruno and co. over the next couple of years.

They won't get Lockyer. Spoke to the man himself not too long ago at a family function about this exact thing. He said he plans to honour his contract at the Broncos, but at the end he won't rule anything out. The only thing stopping him from going to the UK is his wife, so we'll see what happens over the next year or so.
