He has been unbelievable in attack. Changed the whole dynamic of the team and should have happened much earlier.

5 try assists in 2 games. He's an absolute legend.

It was being refered to in the media as a bit of a master stroke by hook but he had since come out and said that it was solely due to Hoffman's injury, at which point Hodges suggested he played there.

I'm actually reall nervous that if we make the finals Hoffman will force him back to centres because Hooks a sped. I'd be ok with Hodges defending at centre with Copley right wing and Hoffman fullback, Then Hodges shifting to fullback in attack and the other 2 sliding in.

If Hodges form continues and we give the finals a real shake it would be hard for him to be displaced even with Barba and Milford in the squad. Say what you want but 5 try assists in 2 games is outstanding.

With cries for his retirement to bring the form fullback in the comp, what would you do with Hiffman this year and Hodges next year?

We will see how people feel after the Storm game when Cronk, Smith and Slater make him look like a complete amateur..

The only problem with it is he looks terrible without the ball (ie. in defence). It hasn't cost us a game yet, but it could well happen against, you know, a decent side. I'd seriously consider swapping him and Maranta or something in defence.

That's a bit pessamistic though his positioning is poor. As I stated though, I don't think he should be doing kick returns. Get maranta or some one else back there on the 5th.

He's not a complete amateur there though but he is too slow in defense. He should definitely be there in attack though absolutely. Suddenly we have a deadly spine with him there as we have a number of different focal points in attack.

In attack yes he has been great so far. In defence I think he might be a liability especially under the high ball. He hasn't looked comfortable under the highball at all and Cronk throwing those torp bombs up could spell trouble...

I think the best way to address this is what I suggested about him defending at centre and Copley on the wing. In attack he moved to fab and Copley to centre.

We need him to be fb in attack though.

Would those worrying about his defense prefer Hoffman to take the fullback role completely?

Hodges isn't stupid, and he'd be aware of his limitations more than anyone. He also hates the Storm, from years of rivalry and having them ending our seasons. And he's been in that many Origins with the big 3 that he should know their game quite well. Let's just say that I think he knows what they're going to throw at him and will have the team drilled on what to expect and how to handle it. There will be no better player in our team to be organising the defensive line, too.

On the other side of the coin, teams may know what Hodges is capable of, but the rolls and rolls of game footage will only have him at centre. They can't do too much homework trying to shut him down in a position he rarely plays.

Could you death ride us any more? All your posts regarding this game, make you sound like a Storm closet fan!

I hope it's a reverse mock, because there's no other excuse for the way you've been death-riding the Broncos in this game.

I just remember the "we should win" comments before playing top teams this year and what happened on game day.

This team doesn't deserve to make the finals. (worked two weeks in a row, may as well try it against the storm).

Who does then? The warriors? The eels?

Beating Melbourne is a huge ask but that's what being a sporting fan is about. I personally love cheering for the under dog.

His attack isn't what the Storm need to worry about. He draws in 2 or 3 people every time he gets the ball. It's the players around him that the Storm need to worry about.
