Hodges to Retire from Rep Footy in the Not-Too-Distant Future

Hodges doesn't really shine in rep matches but I thought he played well tonight and had me on the edge of my seat, made some dangerous runs from dummy-half.

Yeah Hodgo / Parker played really well tonight, Gillett / Thaiday were pretty meh, but Gillett didn't get much of a chance.

That's not his job.

He tried it 2 or 3 times and at least once on the 4th tackle (and another being that incident where he somehow managed to tip it back infield).

Great to see him having a go, but sometimes you have to pick your moments.

He only does so much dummy half running because the forwards aren't making any meters. Its a shame he has to do it so much

I was fairly certain he only did it once which was when he hit it infield. He went for a dummy half scoot but their line rushed up so he went sideways to find a hole or a runner to make some meters which he otherwise couldn't have done. No one stepped up.

Hodges is still in the top 3 centres in the world in my book (excl. Inglis who is a FB through and through). When he retires, it will be a sad loss and one which I hope we have planned for , which we will find out in part at the end of this Round.
