I said it before and I will say it again, the A-League was a decade away from expanding but they seemed obsessed with doing it anyway despite the nice even spread of teams we have around the country.

yep. and they continue to do it!! the only reason you should expand is if the clubs are selling out games.

Outside of having the best stadium in the country for A-League in terms of its size and shape there was/is no reason for GC to have a team. If they wanted to tap SEQ they should have gone Ipswich way, so many clubs out that way but even then expansion was/is such a crap idea for a crap comp.
