He is so clutch. Think about how different things may have been if he didn't take that amazing intercept in the Canberra game. Then to have the poise to gather that ball and monster his way through those 3 was just incredible.
 
Have I missed it, or has no one mentioned Willison's mouthguard with the teeth?

Our wingers have both been amazing so far. Biggest test to come this weekend, but so far they have stood tall and made the hard meters for us out of trouble. We're not getting trapped in our end like we were so often last year.

You looks at the stats, our entire back five have increased their metres all year, it is what is giving us huge momentum and allowing us to run over teams late. As defences tire, they start punching between defenders. Mariner and Kapani's speed is killing other teams, it is like having two To'os. Then with Payne and Patty being able to keep on going after other forwards tire and in Payne's case, accelerating, we just start being all over other teams.

We've been coming home with a wet sail but the issue is to try and not fall behind for once so that instead of playing catch up, we can be level pegging and then pull away.
 
What highlighted how loud it must've been is that you could never hear the referee through the audio. Totally drowned out by the crowd noise and the background filtering that must go on before broadcast.

I can't hear the siren sounding at full time in that replay.
 
Credit to Mariner for resisting the temptation to promote the ball, as well.

Fair chance it would have been pulled up if he did. It wasn't a double movement, but I've seen those pulled up before when the player promotes the ball instead of letting momentum carry him over the line.

Thought for sure they'd look at it. Credit to the officials on that one and Kotoni's try, thought that looked a hair offside. It's why I can easily forgive the Alamoti put down.
