Storm and the Eels. I'm hoping we can get a few wins over the Storm while Bellamy is still coach so I can watch him lose his shit in the box during one of our games. Bellamy is obviously a good coach but I hate the wrestling and other grub tactics his teams have brought into Rugby League.

I noticed during a Dolphins game the other week that their ex Storm recruits are still trying on some of their dodgy tackling techniques during the game. Jesse Bromwich was second man into a tackle and looked to have a chicken wing about to happen then at the last second pulled out of it. His quick peek at the ref was a give away and shows that old habits are hard to break.

You've changed man, you've changed...actually you probably haven't but any Broncs fans who doesn't hate the Storm is weird. They live in our heads and it will take decades to undo it...if indeed it ever starts that we actually win one every so often.
I guess not being part of this forum during "those years", shielded me from the many reasons I should have hated them more 😉

Storm then daylight before Cows, then a bit more daylight to Canberra for me.

Canberra might be an odd one for some but I remember them causing so many injuries to us last year by being grubs which somewhat derailed our season.

But Storm and Cows are very clear.

Ever since that dark day in 1999 when Melbourne smacked the Broncos 48-6 at Lang Park, I have had an intense hatred for them. This was at a time when lopsided scorelines at the Bronco's expense were totally unheard of.

They have basically dominated the Broncos since their inception and have broke the 💕 of many a Brisbane fan. I don't expect anything different this year either.

Not to mention that they blatantly cheated the cap which influenced results for the next decade. They basically faced no recriminations because of this.

I lost interest in Origin because the likes of Slater, GI and Smitty were present. How could I barrack for a team that contained players that knowingly received paper bag payments thus damaging the reputation of the sport?

I have a somewhat renewed interest in SOO these days but am still not exactly thrilled that 2 or 3 of these clowns are part of the coaching staff.

Melbourne then daylight for me. A pathetic organisation whose success was achieved by deceitful means.

I don’t hate the storm I just find them an incredibly boring team to watch play.

unless they are playing the broncos (or dolphins too now) I have next to zero interest in watching, I’d rather be in the billy Walters thread discussing his place in the team.

The cows for me.
I only ever hated the Storm when we played them, too many Qlders in the side to not cheer for them against any NSW side.
Some of the reasons given for hating them like cap cheats I don't get. The Roosters just haven't been caught and Anthony Mundibe has said publicly with no reply from the Broncos he received 100k in a brown paper bag.
If it wasn't for the Thoroubreds breaking up we would still be up to some dodgy shit .
It's only a rort if your not doing it.

Melbourne are the only team I want to lose each week. Even when they were winning premierships and playing the WCC, I'd barrack for the SL team. Cowboys/Manly for second I guess?

Storm for obvious reasons, hated them as an establishment but liked it when their big dogs played for qld.
But lately, Eels. They’re just gross and they’ve pumped us mercilessly a few times in recent years. Gutho and Brown are okay, but Moses is my least favourite player.

Gutho is probably the biggest flog in the game. Surprised you don't mind him.

There's a lot about The Panthers to dislike......they aren't getting nearly enough mentions here.

My current emotions are;

Most hated - Panthers, Roosters, Cowboys, Dragons

Next hated - Storm, Warriors, Raiders, Sea Eagles, Eels, Knights, Newcastle, Souths, Sharks

Don't care - Titans,

Why would the Broncos reply? It was the Super League - none of the competitions had salary caps. It's well known both sides were doing whatever they could to lure players over.

I can’t believe I’m cheering the Tits over The. I don’t want The to get a W @Suncorp.

Making the point that if it was a false claim the club would deny it.
Also making the point re Storm cheating, a reason given for hating the club.
They weren't the only club doing it before during or after super league.
Curious though, why give anyone 100k in a bag if there wasn't a cap.

Mundines qoute

"I got paid outside of salary cap’ LUCKY there was no integrity unit or salary cap auditor around during Super League."

Anthony Mundine has claimed in a summer podcast he was paid $300,000 under the table by the Brisbane Broncos. We chatted to ‘Choc’ about it on Friday. “Yes, it’s true,” he said. “I got a $100,000 sign-on fee with Super League and $350,000-a-season with the Broncos over three years. “Then on top of that they agreed to pay me an extra $100,000-a-year on the quiet. In fact, they gave me three lots of the $100,000 in the first year. It was crazy. “So that first season I got $750,000 all-up, which was huge money back in 1996. “Once I paid tax, I had enough to buy my house in Sydney from one season of footy

I'd imagine the Broncos didn't want to give it anymore airplay. Just about every player from back then has some crazy story about how they were offered ridiculous money and incentives if they picked a side. With no salary cap in place and the Broncos facing no sanctions, why would they risk getting dragged down to Mundine's level?

No salary cap, so no worries.
