I think Jai has bulbar onset MND.

Because it impacts airway and swallowing muscles quickly, bulbar onset can progress faster than limb-onset MND, with an average life expectancy often ranging between 6 months to 3 years from the first symptoms.

My dad had limb onset MND.

To my knowledge, nobody has fought this thing and come out the other side, it's typically been a slow and painful experience, I suspect. That for me is what is crushing and I don't even have the condition.

At least with Cancer, there's always that chance. It's hard to even think about it.

Jai has been brought into origin camp to give the team inspiration (and I'm sure for them to support him).

Would like to see the QRL make him an honorary member of the team and give him a match fee.

Would be a nice gesture. His family are going to need all the coin they can get.

I highly doubt they kept it a secret out of respect those 2, they probably wish they could be first in with the scoop. They probably only kept it quiet because it’s illegal for them to divulge medical information.
