NRL club memberships only have the single screen, HD version of Kayo. AFL club memberships are offering the two-screen 4K package for $350.

I usually just buy the Lions digital membership and throw their swag in the bin, and save money in the process. $29/month for the two screen "Basic" (soon to be renamed Premium) package, instead of what's about to be $40/month so saves $120/year that you're going to pay anyway.

Nth Melbourne membership used to be cheaper again, but they've standardised the price this year so its $350 too.

Otherwise as someone said, sign up for a month and then cancel and you should get an offer or two on exit.
 
I got an email yesterday saying it was changing its name to kayo premium and going up $5 a month. That's the two screens one and ultra HD. Pricks.
 
If you cncel though, then sign through a club, can you keep your account? Or do you need to do a completely new account?

You get given a code to use with your existing account.

You get a voucher/code. You just cant use it until your current subscription expires.
 
Interesting that Disney+ has just added ESPN, including the sports it has rights to. I wonder what that means for those sports on Kayo / Foxtel moving forward.
 
I see the clubs have offers for digital membership this year. Like the AFL had.
 
Talking about the Kayo mobile app in general here. Anybody having this issue? Maybe a tech guru knows what the problem would be.

Used to be able to stream the footy etc on my mobile and at the same time do something else on another app eg banking. So it would automatically lower the footy into a smaller box and you could still watch while you did something else. Now it just gets out of the sport automatically.

This started happening a few months ago as soon as I updated the app. Never did it before that. its a pain in the ass.

I got onto hubbl support and they said the generic shit they do. Clear the cache, reinstall the app and also said to check that the "picture in picture box" was ticked which he believed is what I am talking about. It was already ticked. So I still have no idea what the **** is going on. It definitely only started ****ing up when I updated the app. The app is ****ing abysmal by the way. Layout etc. Plus the price is going up. One of the worst apps I have. Miserable experience
 
checked your app settings on your OS? might be an option in there for certain behaviours.

there'll be an app settings menu within your settings menu on your phone itself. you can control some of the behaviours of your apps within there, notifications, run in background, disable if idle for x period of time etc. could be a setting in there.

edit: just checked on Android, no luck but you could try this

  • Android Battery Settings: For Android, you can try allowing background activity to prevent the OS from killing the app. Go to Settings > Apps > Kayo > App Battery Usage and select "Allow background usage" or set it to "Unrestricted".
If you're on IOS/Apple then **** you.
