A lot of media outlets running with the angle that Staggs will only play for Australia if Kev is coach - they insinuate that if Kev isn't coach, Staggs will go and play for Tonga.
This is what he actually said though:
"Playing back with Kev was good," Staggs said after another victory, this time in Wednesday's Australian PGA pro-am alongside Adam Reynolds, Jesse Arthurs and Cameron Smith.
"We've got a good relationship. I love being alongside him and being coached by him, he's taught me a lot.
"If Kev stays in that role, I don't see myself anywhere else.
"If he's there, I'll be there as well with him, but time will tell."
