End of 2022 aligns with the end of his guaranteed salary... ie. 2023 and 2024 are his PO years.

Potentially him signing with warriors foregoes the PO's??

If that is the case then it would explain why we have been desperate to get him off the books and suddenly gives us more cap for 23/24.

I think the "paying significant portion for 2.5yrs" is false if he has only signed to end of 2022... we might only be paying a fair chunk this year (who cares) and next, but open up a chunk of cash for 2023 onwards

2022 and 23 were the only 2 player options, right? I don't think you can agree to the 2nd year and not the first, I assume both would be void now?

I'm all for Lodges redemption arc., but it just never felt right that it was in a Broncos jersey. Won't be too sad to see him go. I fee like we are just completely blowing up 2021 to get 2022+ right from a salary cap point of view.
