Mam will be really lucky to play footy anytime soon. After hearing the toddler has a broken hip, he has caused serious injury here. As I said earlier I believe in second chances and obviously I am back tracking a bit with this info.. But as a Father I would want him sacked and never to be seen again, if not serve jail time. As a person I can live with whatever the courts and club decide, but he is bottom of barrel until he proves himself otherwise.

I think the NRL has to be stauncher and take some of this out of the clubs hands and back us if we sack him by giving him a minimum stand down. It would be ludicrous if we sack him, for him to only end up at the Roosters. Sounds like this rehab stuff has been put out to save his career and prevent jail time. Thaiday pushing the suicide angle also is a bit much if you ask me. Ezra needs to own up to what he has done and not hide behind all the usual social issues etc.

The way DD is talking about our club has me on high alert. We have major issues in our club, our culture is obviously putrid. It is a real shame that fans were turning up all year and these guys just were not committed. That's what is so disappointing to me, the fans showed up and the players didn't give a shit. Kev obviously knew it and was either powerless to do anything or unwilling to ruffle feathers. I don't live in Brisbane and don't go to bars or nightclubs anymore but it sounds like this lot may be thinking about their post game pub crawls and not enough about their jobs. Mam may have to be sacked just to wake the rest of these idiots up.

I really don't get why it takes so long to get the blood test results back.

I get blood tests. My doc has them within 48-72 hrs.

?

We are literally a week from free agency, it isn't in the players' interests now to sign, they will officially know what's on offer in one week with actual contracts in front of them.

Trust me they already know what's on offer. They would have for a while. There is no rule stopping player managers talking to clubs about uncontracted seasons.

We did just fire / hire a coach and that always delays contract negotiations because the coach has a very big say on who he wants

Obviously clubs would have said this or that, it is still different to actually seeing it there in an official capacity.

Private enterprise makes profits .
Courts don`t .

Yeah ,,,
I think DD would have been making plans months ago . Walsh not signing his deal might be a clue ?
Then the way the team played at season`s end . They knew Briers and Hoss were definitely gone , did they have info re Kevvie too ?

Reyno saying he was blind sided was a fib IMO .

Matty Johns was hinting at it a month out and Buzz was speculating before that .

I haven't renewed my membership yet (I will) however the Broncos have just sent a reminder text. Not the best week to be asking anyone for money you slow oafs ffs
do you enter a draw to win a car if you renew this week?

It would be quite an achievement for the club to get the Membership numbers they got this year in 2025

I think tox tests take a lot longer don't they?

Also, I would hope a GP and patient are given priority testing over a possible drug driver. Especially if they're old....

If Mam is gone and Maguire was confident he could get the best of out of Cobbo, I'd bite the bullet and go withL

1. Cobbo
6. Walsh
7. Reynolds
9. Paix
14. Mozer

As the spine.
This looks better than our current spine at an 800k per year discount.

The SMH are reporting that the NRL is planning to overhaul it's sanctioning system (off-field incidents) by outsourcing decisions to an independent legal representative.

The NRL is in the process of trying to finalise the new system before next season. The legal eagle will investigate allegations, make findings and then propose any punishment based on the in-house sanctioning matrix currently used by the integrity unit. Head office would be at arm’s length from player punishments.

according to the SMH, Mam could be the first case under the new system

So in layman's terms (please keep it simple for us Bunnies supporters :) what difference will this proposed new system make? In Mam's case, is it likely to mean a more severe punishment than the NRL head office would possibly impose? I mean would the NRL have the final say on length/severity of punishment I wonder.

I don't necessarily mind a new system managed by someone other than the NRL for punishing off-field incidents, especially as the NRL are inconsistent and incompetent.

but i would fucking hate it to be applied retrospectively ... that is bullshit. the new system should only apply to incidents that happen from the second it gets implemented moving forward
