I guess the question is if Willson and Mariner amongst others were not to re-sign because Madge did re-sign how would we feel?

He would 100% be labelled as the "hottest commodity on the market with plenty of suitors"."Mate, how good would he be at the Dargons? They need a harder edge and Madge will certainly give them that"
The only way any shit happens is if Reece starts flagging he wants out.The Broncos aren't going to sack him unless 2027 ends up terrible as well. The media can make up as much as they want, he can just flash his premiership ring and tell them to shut up.
Look I have reservations about the guy long term but in the short term, back him in and if any players don't want to get on board, boot them no matter who they are. The players have run the asylum too long as it is. We need a complete system overhaul and the best bloke to do this is most probably the most recent premiership winner.
I don't necessarily disagree but we have to be concerned about Madges track record. I hope he can prove the history wrong. They can **** off then.
The club is bigger than any individual. If anyone wants to play silly buggers and **** us around with their contract because they're not mates with the coach, then they shouldn't be welcome here.
The reason this club has struggled so much in the last decade or so, is because of these primadonnas moaning and whining at the first hurdle.
Well injuries have certainly stuffed us this year , hass and teo both leaving. I don’t think has helped .. would be interesting if we didnt have these injuries where would be on the ladder would they have been keen to win another comp or what ?I don't necessarily disagree but we have to be concerned about Madges track record. I hope he can prove the history wrong.

The similarities between 24 and 26 sort of suggests to me that perhaps the coach isn't the problem, considering it's happened to two different and consecutive coaches.
Ffs. So another coach ? They got kevie the sack. They don’t like madge ? Who the hell do they want then. ?It's certainly been a shit show of a defence, even the other premiers that fell apart on the field I can't remember so much drama.

I lay somewhere in the middle, I don't think the world is over, but I also don't think you can ignore staff leaving, players leaving, players arrested and coming near last/losing seven games in a row and just think it's all an act of God.
That seven is the worst losing streak by a premiers- "beating" 05 Bulldogs 6 in a row.
I find it strange we are now in July tomorrow and the premiers coach hasn't signed an extension. The Board extended Kevvie in March 24 and he wasn't even off contract- he didn't get to coach that extension but at the start of 24 he was locked in until 26. I don't know if the board are being wary after previous payouts. But if that was the case that would say something too.
Patty’s regression is simply because of wearing him down by forcing him to play 80min week after week.Questions also have to be asked of the onfield leadership team. Reynolds, Carrigan, Hunt, Staggs and Haas aren't stepping up when we need them. Haas does his job on the field but when given the captaincy, did he speak to the ref once? Reynolds and Hunt have gone on a year too long and are looking every bit of their age. Carrigan has regressed more than I've seen anyone regress and is looking slow and tired and the refs have him on their script so he gets away with nothing. Staggs can only play good footy if his role is simple, which it hasn't been all year. That one is on the coach in my opinion.

What's crazy is that we can actually focus on all of those things. Less so on our clothing labels and toy production so we might be able to fit in some time to plan for the future of the club on the field. Don't sack Madge, bring in his replacement as an Assistant and when we are ready we say thank you and move Madge on. We need to sort out our Queensland Cup situation, have our players move through the ranks together. Set up shop in NZ, Western NZ (Gold Coast), London, Toowoomba, Logan and Ipswich and ****ing own the areas. Utilize ex-players to get positive shit into the media.Patty’s regression is simply because of wearing him down by forcing him to play 80min week after week.
Right from Shitbold to Kevvie & majority of last year he played extended minutes on the field and toiled hard physically and mentally. He’s not a robot unfortunately and these are the side effects.
As for mine, I would want to focus on our scouting, pathways and our dreaded R&R. It has been pathetic. With a club like ours with vast resources, if we can’t spot talent & recruit with a nonstop production line, it’s something wrong terminally.
