We can't be re-signing a coach on the back of this season. Almost every player has regressed.

Our recruitment is diabolical right now. Lots of factors to that but nobody is jumping at the opportunity to come here.

We've gotta hold our horses and see how we go with re-signing and signing players for 2028 before there's a contract extension for Madge.

You can't have a revolving door of a coach. There is not a more suitable coach on the market.

You can't have a playing group determining the coach, it never ends well. There are questions to be asked, but that's more do do with pathways. The loss of Ben Ikin pains me, and it what put me off Kevin Walters...Ben Ikin is an asset, not a threat.

If a clean out, that means even a star that Walsh is, so be it. No player is bigger than the Broncos.

Madge is great for driving standards, and polishing teams. He would be 100% sifting through the market; Hass gone, Barnett came because of Madge.

I believe Madge has learnt his lessons. He is 100% the right man for us. Madge drives standards, recruits accordingly, and takes responsibility.

Cameron smith is the only candidate I would ever entertain of replacing him at this point. I think he gets another year’s grace for the premiership. Even though I wasn’t his biggest fan I believed Kevvie deserved another year to turn things around…….those player reviews must have had some juicy gossip in them.

We don’t really know what happened with the Kevvie thing, if you believe the reports some people apparently just left the room in the middle of his tirade. don’t think Cameron smith is responsible for all our outs either. This year has just been one of those things.

I’d at least ask him to be an assistant or mentor at least at this stage. Surely he has a respect for dd and isn’t here as some insider spy wanting us to fail.

Anyway if dd fired people because of tirades Craig Bellamy would have been sacked by him years ago….maybe he’s just scared of him. Maybe he left Melbourne because Craig told him he should leave town…..?
