Yeah I have actually, a few times. One time it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. The next job I got was one of the cruisiest blue collar jobs(forklift driver)that paid 3x as much and far easier than the one I was sacked from(I only have a high school education apart from a few tafe courses). It was for one of Australia’s biggest companies and we also got a roughly 500$ bonus every month, depending on how well the company did. Plus they would give us an expensive reward if as a shed we went a year with no workplace aciidents( they would save millions on insurance for no accidents). One year I got a Weber, another year a top of the range laptop, another a blue ray player(when they first came out) trying to remember what else but there was only ever one accident for my entire tenure there and I was there for years. Loved the fact I got fired from that other shitty job…it was a **** of a job.

2026 we are back at the bottom again. Literally lost to the worst team in the comp with a decent squad. Something is wrong and ive yet to see madge pull a team out of a hole.

If we need a blueprint for how to turn a team around in a short period of time, perhaps he should pick up the phone and ask Kevin walters. A bit of pride in the jersey is probably what we are lacking at the moment.

Kevvie doesn't get sacked in 2024 if he didn't oversee a fall out of the top 4 to missing the finals in 2022. It was a pattern under Kevvie. Had we of made the finals that year, even losing in the first week he is probably still our coach. Maybe he gets us to the promise land in 2025, maybe he doesn't. but you can't hide from the fact, that despite how awesome we were in 2023, we had two major fade outs under his watch.

Players have the power to save the coach, some of those efforts last week- Shibasaki's chase of the kick and non-effort to chase the Anderson intercept don't scream I love this coach and you're not going to bag him on my watch.

Just like in 24, fine to say I love Kevvie in September but from this time to the end of the year they had 30 or more put on them five times and only won two games and they were in 11th and could have easily played finals with two more wins.

100% agree. He got himself sacked from realistically should have been an unsackable position

It's all up to the players now.. that said what happens if we collapse even more to finish this season. It'll be embarrassing and almost untenable.

I'm also willing to bet that the coach that happened to recruit Gosiewski, played him a shit load more than Madge (who can blame an extensive injury toll for having to play him)

Good point! Boy am I glad we have mitch Barnett coming next year for payne haas..

I mean we easily average 25m per set without haas, Barnett should realistically bring that up to a breathtaking 30m per set next year!
 
Let's be for real, the media dictates what happens at the Broncos, it's that simple. I don't entirely buy that players are off the coach, I just think it's something the media manipulates when we're losing to create a story and they know people will read it, engage with it etc. The players were off Bennett, Seibold, Kevvie and now Madge? Really? Players are unhappy with every coach we have? Ofcourse they are unhappy, they're losing! Are the Raiders players unhappy with Ricky Stuart? I don't hear the same noise coming from from the Raiders and why? Because no one cares about the Raiders lol the Broncos are the biggest club in RL and anything said about us sells, especially negative articles.

However I do truly believe the players are soft especially mentally. I thought we overcame that by what we went through to win the premiership last season but it's not the case. The players aren't hungry and dedicated but I do suspect constant negativity in the media would drain any enthusiasm out of the players. It's just so loud and constant.
