THE BOSS Maguire Stomped The Naysayers! But...8 Months Later, Here We Are.

I was one of Madge’s biggest defenders this time last year, but if news is true that he has joined the blues coaching staff, sack the guy immediately.

Didn’t he disallow Teo from doing the same earlier this year? Now he’s doing it while realistically fighting it out to avoid the spoon at club level?

The current broncos coach, actively supporting NSW coaching should never be okay.

Is this a serious post?

I hate NSW as much as the next bloke, but you can’t compare having 2 assistant coaches focusing on another team for 8 weeks a season to a motivational speech while the team is on a bye week.

We all know Maguire is a previous NSW coach and him helping the team in a very small capacity is really a non-issue.

Use critical thinking skills. What a stupid post.

Written by the mole... there would be zero behind it.

Creates a great narrative leading into origin though doesnt it... almost like journos trying to get content out.

Hell theyve even got the narrative of Madge going into NSW camp... it's basically 2024 decider all over again.

Duel of the Fates... except this time it's for the broncos!!

Basically writes itself... well AI probably writes for them now, but that should be enough prompts for it to get going.

Madge deserves another year injury free, although the players not liking playing under him is an issue

Firstly that's a media narrative with nothing to back it up.

Secondly, it's not an issue. Any player not prepared to put in the hard yards, or who don't like how hard training is can **** off to a club where they will be able to play comfortable footy.

The reason they are after him is that he has form in this area. It was a pretty public and messy end at the rabbitohs where this was the primary reason given by the players.

It's like any work place - you can put in massive overs and get some great results in the short term. Long term it's not typically sustainable and you end up with burned out people who are angry and disenfranchised.

People can relate to that, so it's an easy narrative to push.

Now if he's actually learned from his time in sydney and is trying a different approach, only those in the club would know and no-one is saying anything. But, to go from premiership winners to potentially needing another win or two this season to avoid the wooden spoon - something past just injuries is going on.

For me it's the double standards in the media

The Storm have made the last two GFs, have also had an 8 game losing streak and have arguably the most intense hardest training coach this sport has seen and it's crickets ... They also had a big turn over of players in the off season, which included losing the most sort after young half in the game ... And despite all of that you never heard a single word about Bellamy losing the playing group. You don't hear anything negative about his training methods, hell he gets praised for how hard he flogs his team's.

FTR, I have no issues with how hard Bellamy trains his teams, and you don't hear any complaints because when players sign with the Storm, that's just expected. And it's expected because of the way Bellamy recruits his players and the systems and culture that he had instilled into that club ... Madge hasn't had the time to get that sorted here yet.

Then you have the Raiders who finished last season winning the minor premiership comfortably ... The Raiders are currently sitting in 13th only 1 more win than us ... I haven't seen anything about Ricky losing the dressing room

The final top 4 team from last season is also out of the top 8 and had a long losing streak ... Not much if anything has been said in the media about Ciraldo losing the dressing room

/Rant

Oh I completely agree on the media holding us to a different standard. Not to mention Buzz and others with an absolute axe to grind against Madge.

There was a bit of something starting against Bellyache, then his medical diagnosis leaked and it all went away pretty fast.

Ricky seems like he's untouchable for the media, no idea why.... but the Raiders have under performed missing the finals 50% under him. He's taken them to a GF once in that time with zero wins.

Ciraldo was copping a lot of shit earlier in the year, I've kind of ignored everything outside of the broncos / maroons over the last month or so as the state of the game... frankly I've stopped caring.

Regards Bellyache - there's two kinds of leaders that push their guys to and past their normal limits. Those who rule with fear and the whip, and those that inspire their troops to run through walls for them. The latter is the style you want when trying to bring the best out of their players, the first is what Madge is being painted as by the media. Hopefully the truth lies elsewhere.

From what I have seen in interviews with his former players, it`s not the training .
It`s the level of engagement required . Lots of meetings , lots of videos and lots of sitting around listening to Madge .
That they get tired / bored with .

Why is Sticky like the Teflon Don ?
His team waay outperformed Brisbane in the regular season last year . Were minor premiers and are in the cellar this year .
Not a peep about their fall ?
