I may be a little biased, but I'm interested what supporters from other teams think of Matty being put out for 4 weeks on that tackle.

He would have got 3 weeks if pleading guilty but was faced with 4 weeks if he pleaded not guilty and lost appeal.
He pleads guilty but the Titans questioned grading. Tribunal upheld grading and Matty got the original threat of 4 weeks.

The Titans were considering pleading not guilty but decided against that decision for fear they may lose and put Matty on side-line for an extra week. If that was the case then why would you plead guilty and question grading if your were still going to get the 4 weeks if grading upheld.
I don't get it. I'm I missing something.

He committed 4 sins...he was born in Qld
he lifted in the tackle
he plays for a Qld team at the top of a NSW comp
he turned his back on league and played rah rah

surprised he did'nt get life.

Last time I looked NRL stood for National Rugby League.

I think it was way too harsh.

As he said yesterday, he's been a professional athlete for 15 years and never been suspended once. 4 weeks for that tackle doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

PS. The COMPOUND FRACTURE is obviously in the head. Brain damage is so sad...

i thought 4 weeks may have been a bit harsh... i think 2 weeks would have been about right.

Rogers' suspension makes Barry Hall's suspension ridiculously low

Fool...

Ridiculous, one week at most was what it deserved, particularly taking into account his perfect past record

I don't really care beyond the one week [icon_lol1.

He should've taken the early guilty plea. A QLDer doesn't have much chance at the judicary.

Didn't deserve any more than one week imo. Hate the Titans and hate Rogers even more, so you know I'm being completely honest when I say that was a joke of a decision [icon_thumbs_do

Looked bad at first, but upon replays, it should've been a situation where he was looking at just a carryover of points with an early plea, or a one week suspension if he fought and lost the charge.

with what he got it looks like carrol and eastwood will be getting 4 weeks some time soon.

Didnt even need to go to the panel IMO

I must say that I actually thought the tackle was worth more than a week. Maybe not worth the 4 weeks, but certainly more than one. It was definitely a driving tackle that went wrong, but unfortunately it definitely went wrong, the guy ended up past the horizontal and those are the rules of the game. Simon Woolford gets suspended for those sorts of tackles all the time.

I thought it looked a lot worse on first viewing than it did on replay 2 days later. I think 4 weeks was probably a tad harsh, 1 or 2 would've been sufficient.

Since when is Sydney in Qld? [icon_wink

I asked him why he plays Origin for Qld during SL and he said because he wanted to represent the state he was born in. Apparently is was actually born at Gold Coast.

Rd. 11 he comes back, that's hardly god damn fair. It's disgraceful, while some douchebage from the Roosters gets nothing for knocking a blokes head off his shoulders.
