They didn't name names except to say the details would be in the papers in the next day or so.

It was Nick Youngquest from the bulldogs and Greg Bird. Apparently they're going to be fined over the incident, but by all reports the cage fighter hit Youngquest from behind and Bird came to his aid.

Both players have been cleared now and will escape a fine - apparently the cage fighter was just released from jail and is known as a bit of a loon.
