No Home Finals for the Broncos....

Hmmm... Super League and all, not sure whether the current situation is comparable with the Crushers.

Even pre super league the only big crowd they got was against the Broncos. People didnt embrace them. Can't see why they would now.

Those who are league fans who aren't Broncos fans are fans of other clubs that didn't change when the Broncos or Titans came in. Why would they change now?

Crushers were incredibly crappy though. Brisbane will support anyone once they get some success.

Because now everyone in QLD jumps on the bandwagon, All they need to do is win a couple to start the season and all of QLD will get behind them...

I am a league tragic, and have lived in Adelaide my entire life, and support the mighty Broncos. In the SL war, Adelaide got given a team - the Rams. When that happened I did not become a Rams fan. I remained a Broncos fan. In fact the only Rams game I went to was when they played the Broncos :)

^^^ This guy knows the score.

What you may find with a second Brisbane team is that some of those who have a team they already follow might adopt them as a "second team", but wont rush out and buy a membership or anything.

2nd Brisbane bid is a total and utter waste of time and I hope the NRL doesn't have a bar of it.

^ i completely agree with the above.

in brisbane you have the broncos fans, and the people that hate the broncos. the people that hate the broncos already have their #1 teams. after 12 rounds of the comp those people will stop caring about the second brisbane team and the fairweather people that took an interest at the start of the season will also drop off.

another brisbane team is a terrible idea, imo.

Has to be an ipswich team IMO. Huge growth in the region.

Makes more sense, particularly if they can somehow find land to build a stadium out Springfield way. They could call themselves the Springfield Isotopes!

I think the jets playing out of suncorp at first with the plan to put a stadium at ippy somewhere. Plenty of land out west.

Again that would depend on the State Government changing the event restrictions.

Just Revamp QE2 and shift the ROAR/ 2nd South East team to there. Suncorp for Reds/Broncos.

No point rushing a stadium for Ippy otherwise we will get another Skilled.

Did anyone say anything about rushing a Stadium at Ipswich?? Ipswich stadium could be 5-10 years after an/if Ipswich team gets the go ahead.

No, Noone said anything about Rushing it.. But noone until just then said anything about waiting 5-10years either.

I simply added in another thought on the topic.

It would take so much work to redevelop QE2 IMO, the roads are rooted around the stadium and no train line.. I would love for it to be demolished and a new stadium be built though.

QE2 isn't fit for holding football matches anymore, from what I hear anyway.

I reckon a small 20-30k seat stadium in the Ipswich area would be perfect, with the bigger games against the Broncos being played at Suncorp if necessary.

That being said, I think Ipswich is a mile off.
