CROSS FORUM NRL 2022 Round 2 Discussion

They have lost a lot of key players plus Bennett. Gagai, Benji and Arey are big misses for them. On top of that, Latrell looks so out of shape. ITs going to take JD a while to get this lot to adjust to having no quality at 7.
One thing I think has been forgotten is the loss of Sua... not so much because he was an elite player, but more so because they've replaced him with Arrow.

Arrow was massive for souths on the bench as a middle... and at no point in his career have I thought he could make it as a second rower.

Souths middles depth was average last year and now JD has moved one of his best to the second row... surely they have a young second rower to throw in there and move Arrow back to the middle?

Actually forgot about Sua.

Yep and they have so few key players now, they are easy to mark up on. You shut down Cook and Walker, what else do you need to worry about? Mitchell is inconsistent and tonight is one of the awful versions and he is WAY out of shape.

Sad thing is, this isn't even the best Storm side by a fair margin, imagine the cricket score with the likes of Slater, Smith, Cronk etc

Dogs vs Cowboys was definitely higher quality than this game.

You could at least chuck Chee-Kam there instead of the bench or even put Murray back on an edge

You don't even need to shut down Cook... he basically refuses to run nowadays

Moeroa isn't playing next week you would think.

Moeroa might not be ever found again.

Hard to believe that Souffs are very likely to be down the bottom with the Cows and Wests after Round 5.

He deserves a bit more time but their attack looks putrid. They've all forgotten how to pass, run lines, hold the ball, run hard, all the basics look terrible.

They stuffed up big time with their recruitment i reckon. Its so difficult to replace an elite half back. Pretty much everyone, even their coaching staff, knew it was a dumb move not to offer him a deal. Not sure how they will fix it right now.
