CROSS FORUM NRL 2023 Round 19 Discussion

Foran’s argument…. Clark wasn’t penalised the two other times he was offside so why ping him now.

Can you imagine if this was the Warriors ?

There was would a total meltdown from us fans

Tough luck Titans

That smacks of a ref who just has to be in the limelight. I mean c'mon... how long have we been playing GP and when is offside ever called? It happens every single FG attempt during GP

I agree

I don’t like games being decided from such pedantic calls

Aitkens always want to have the last say

It's fair enough
I think Clark was should have been penalised the other times…. just as Bromwich should have been penalised for the late hot on Boyd when his field goal attempt went astray.

It shits me that players block field goals by being way offside. Stamp it out for good.

Even better though, stamp out golden point.

I just wish the NRL would actually crack down on the looseness of GP. Let teams know that it will be officiated the same as regular time and they will be looking at offside especially down near the line.

If I wanted to watch penalties I ‘d watch rugby

Totally ruins the game if a penalty decides GP

This being a classic example. It ended so flat

Yeah, but they only commit the offences because they know it is highly unlikely to get called. If they started calling them, teams would start pulling their heads in.

I get its a shit way to end a game but he was a mile offside and had been warned.

The real problem is that the next 10 times we see players a mile offside to block a game deciding FG nothing will happen.

What do our Wahs and Silvertails friends think of all the fuss being kicked up about Origin depleted games all of a sudden?

Very convenient that Eels and Rabbits lose one impacted game a piece and now suddenly parts of the media are pushing for change.
