NRL 2026 Round 1 Discussion

Double win for Newcastle, no binning AND Drinkwater back on.

What has happened to Dom Young? Its almost like he's lost all his ability since going to Easts.

Dearden still isnt at that level as a ballplayer yet. If he gets there then ita more viable to go with Purdue.

He's a Wally Lewis medalist, if he isn't there yet, will he ever be?

You've almost got a great spine that compliment each other - the odd man out is Drinkwater and its been that way for a while.

He is 24 years old. Of course he can get there. He is built for the origin style of play. I still want to see some more as a ballplayer in good ball.

I dont think there is enough ballplaying without drinkwater still.

I'm in mourning over Sharpe, hopefully it's not too serious.

Shame it came at the expense of an injured player, but good to see Luki cross all the same. Happy to see McIntyre feature on the highlights reel & Purdue is looking more and more confident.

Cows have done a great job on Ponga so far. Anyone's game but still feeling confident with my tip.

Well they've looked great without Drinkwater out there and average with him. Not for the first time either.

Two tries from kicks. Been happy defensively. Good start.

Been a good game for a 1st rounder
