The Atkinson strip was clearly an attempt to strip. 2 in the tackle theses days even an arm.pull is a penalty and you think Meanys drop was a knock on?

They clarified the rules that it has to be a clear "stripping motion"... if you watch every game you'll see players with the ball ending up around their heads and the tacklers all over it driving it into the ground... they get called errors.

To me they are strips, but the NRL doesnt adjudicate them that way... at least for most teams

Striking at the ball ripping the ball pulling the ball or pulling the ball carrying arm is a penalty in a 2 man tackle.
