Something along the lines of he’ll always have a job because thereare selfish coaches out there striving for short term success and it’s his job to fix the teams they leave behind.
Some fix, like a 30% winrate and no finals appearances.

That claim will not be tested on us because he’ll NEVER be coaching the broncos.

I couldnt agree more. Brown must be a good bloke because his time at the Knights isn't being scrutinised much.
Even his so called rebuild isn't his plan.
Pearce quit the chooks, Klemmer was shopped around and Kenny Dowel was punted.
Ponga, yeah, he gets a tick but the bigger names fell in his lap.
Without Klemmer and Pearce they would be getting dusted every week and Ponga woukd be looking for a way out.

He's just flat out not a good coach, I mean, I'm sure he's far better than most of us punters but he's not NRL quality, that's been proven many years ago.

The only question is whether the Knights can do better by sacking him. There isn't much left out there but I would certainly think Toovey is worth a 2 year contract to find out. Can't think of many (any?) quality candidates otherwise.

Done deal apparantly with the chooks assistant Adam O Brien

Brown having another shot at Bennett while he's heading out the door. Couldn't possibly be the fact he's a shit fucking coach could it?

Coaching Merry-Go-Rounds bore me to tears but I find the rationalisations and attempts to make sense of it by NRL fans endlessly entertaining.

At the heart of it is this: who is responsible for the current state and performance of the team running out this week? The outgoing coach or the new one?

Bennett only did well with a team put together by Griffin. Seibs had a good year last year because of Michael Maguire the year before.

Another point: If all these coaches are so good why are they all getting sacked?

I read this silly article over at The Roar earlier in the year saying that Wayne Bennett can't really take credit for the 2010 premiership as he used a side that Nathan Brown had built.

Flash forward a few years later and Nathan Brown has to fix the mess Bennett made in Newcastle.

So... in a roundabout way Nathan Brown is a better coach than Wayne Bennett!

That's Rugby League logic for you.

As the late, great author Michael Crichton said: “Everyone has a hidden agenda. Except me!”

Ignore all my previous posts.

Souths have now moved just below Melbourne in the hope the stadium collapses stakes.

Fucking go Canberra. Go Ricky. Go Croker. Please don't let Souths, Melbourne or the ***** win it this year.

Anyone else ever notice the North Sydney Bears and Burleigh Bears have EXACTLY the same best in their logo. Is that legal or do they have some shape of a thrown together partnership?

Bear is a real bear that someone sketched while it posed. Paid actor.

Just when you thought the fiasco that was the coaching change at the Broncos wouldn't be topped for awhile, along comes the Knights up to the plate. Setting up an out of favor coach for humiliation with the worst timed sacking of all time, and they actually keep him on to have the players rub his nose in how much they don't give a shit. Bumbling incompetence has been the flavor of the year at all levels.
