Long let it rain. Here's another one.
Whenever I'm down over the off-season, I'm going to come back to this thread and remind myself that at least I didn't leave the Broncos to win a premiership only for the Broncos to win one before me...

I hate x coates as much as any on here and hate how the smug prick acted towards our club, and im all for the boys ripping into the media and opposition after winning.... but the 1 thing I didn't like is how walsh said that "the best coates, the real coates" line. I'd hate anyone saying anything about my brother, especially when they are feeling shit. No go zone I reckonHere's another one.

Pretty sure Walsh and Xavier are best mates, I'm sure Reece would of said it to Xavier plenty of times his brothers better because he's with the Broncos.I hate x coates as much as any on here and hate how the smug prick acted towards our club, and im all for the boys ripping into the media and opposition after winning.... but the 1 thing I didn't like is how walsh said that "the best coates, the real coates" line. I genuinely want to know what Xavier is thinking here. Like, is he regretting leaving us? Or is he just sad they lost and he loves Melbourne? Here's another one.

It's the former of course. Who in their right mind could love Melbourne?I genuinely want to know what Xavier is thinking here. Like, is he regretting leaving us? Or is he just sad they lost and he loves Melbourne?
Nah, people like Riki and others are the true heroes - they chose to stay on and fight on with their mates instead of pretending that everyone else in the team was the problem and moved on.I don't get the hate for him personally. Sure he once said he wanted to stay here for life but when he left we were an absolute basket case. Don't blame him.
Not sure riki would have fielded many offers from elsewhere over the years tbh, especially from a gun team like melbourne. Wasn't calling him a hero by any stretch I just dont blame him for leaving when he did and feel some of the criticisms are a bit much. I mean payne haas wanted to leave at least once and everybody is singing his praises.Nah, people like Riki and others are the true heroes - they chose to stay on and fight on with their mates instead of pretending that everyone else in the team was the problem and moved on.
He's made his bed, he can lie in it now.

That's true. Individually we might only be 17 horse power, but as a team we're a frikkin 2025 stroke horse powered Koenigsegg Gemera.Yeah, but he didn't leave, did he? He stayed and fought for the club and helped us get to where we are today. He didn't look for a quick route to success.
Coates probably becomes a better player by going to Melbourne rather than staying at the Broncs. That's all I'll give him. He's a Storm player now, so he can get ****ed. Premiers 2025 baby. Up the horse!![]()
