Des naming 3 hookers in the spine... and Weaver on the extended... what's going on there?

Weaver has looked alright when he's come into first grade, but can't seem to get a gig.

Looking at that bench and the named team, I'm thinking he'll be a late inclusion... otherwise Des is relying on Erin Clarke to play 80mins at hooker

Just realised Trindall is back as well.. I don't recall hearing anything about a suspension that was handed down... but it looks like he missed 3 games for drink driving and being caught with coke

For the fans I'm guessing

actually sounds like a **** up from the NSW prosecutors.

he was supposed to face court on Friday, but his legal team still haven't received the results of the blood tests, so his day in court will likely be delayed.

the NRL won't hand down their penalty until the legal case has been resolved ... and the offence that Trindall was charged with doesn't qualify him for the mandatory stand down

Highly probable I would say. Believe he's had a wrist injury or something from memory. They're giving him until game day to be fit from what I gather. He has also been in QCUP to work on his defence though I believe so who knows, maybe Des figured sure the defence line up first.

I'm surprised by the lack of players on training contracts. From this point on, clubs are allowed to select players outside of their NRL and Supplemental squads without playing for an exemption. The only players that fit this criteria are Brandon Wakeham (who got himself into some trouble) and Ethan King from the Roosters.

I presume we'll see more in the coming weeks, especially from the Broncos whose depth has been well and truly decimated. Fortunately their Origin affected game takes place in Round 19 so by that point they should have Tristan Sailor, Jesse Arthars among others on board but it is looking perelous on the face of it.

The positive is that it gives a player like Creedence Toia time to make a case. As far as I'm aware he's been injured and only just came back recently for Burleigh.

The NRL are reportedly introducing mini corner posts this week to help fans and officials identifying 40/20s

They are dubbing the mini corner posts "magic markers"

These 2 teams should be thanking us. Because the broncos are playing after this game, they’re playing in front of the biggest crowd they have seen in a looooooong time.

Bulldogs playing so poorly but Raiders doing the basics well.

that was a dreadful kick and a shithouse decision to actually kick from JAC

Yep Papalii is in HEAPS of trouble for that one surely.
