Wonder if Katoa has options in his favour in the contract he signed. He doesn't even hit his upgraded deal til next year, but he could have been partnering Cleary by now.

I assume he would have been linked to Parra this week if he had any sniff of a get out option in his contract.

What on earth was that from the Dolphins? WTF happens with teams when Wayne leaves? Watched them play heaps over the last couple of years and never seen anything approaching that level of crud.. wow.

You gonna think I'm crazy for saying this, but I reckon we have a habit of underestimating Bennett's influence sometimes. Yes he may have lost a step or two from a footy tactics point of view, but his man management abilities have always been some kind of sorcery. Just the aura that he, his name and his legacy presents make players want to lift another gear for him.

You watch, despite all the injuries they have and how mediocre that squad is overall, Souths will still dodge the bottom 4 by a mile despite being morals to finish there by any metric, and it will be all because of him. The supposedly inevitable Dolphins spoon that everyone was predicting in their first season never happened because of him. In fact it didn't come close to happening.

What looks like a "Bennett hangover" to us is just the rubber band snapping back at a club that he has most recently departed.
