CROSS FORUM NRL Round 2

That interview with Cleary after the game. Dude has a gnarly injury on his forehead that's going to need stitches and he's just calmly answering questions.

I'm still stunned. The old adage that Defence is an attitude and you only have to be off 10% were there for all to see.
You just can't turn up expecting to win even against average sides.

In a salary cap comp, there are no certainties. The bookies would have made bank last night.

Only saw parts of the game, but Penriths line speed (which I think is a core part of their success) was really bad last night. Roosters were making some good metres (and that's with all the players they've lost).

Brilliant coaching from Robbo.
They attacked edges and stayed away from the middle as much as possible. Penrith couldn't choke them out of the game .
Penrith made so many errors, I don't know if that was attitude or being put on tilt by the Chooks gameplan .

That's something that Madge did with NSW last year... his strength was Angus and the NSW centres vs the Qld edges so that's where he made a ton of meters in yardage instead of just doing the stock standard hitups through the middle
